Ok first part of translation. More to come.

Sources in the Interior ministry and the National Security Advisor's Office refused to comment on news reports that three missiles with nuclear warheads had been seized during the arrest of Khidhur al-Douri, the former Ba'ath party member.

Iraqi political sources, who requested anonimity, inisisted that Iraqi security authorities arrested al-Douri and seized the missiles.

The same sources told al-Sabah that al-Douri, who held meany Ba'ath party positions during the former regime, was falsely pronounced dead on its demise. Forged death certificates had been circulated.

He was arrested in an area between Oja and al-Dour, in Salahidine province.

That's one of the truest typos I have ever seen ... though just a wee bit understated ... ;-)

relative of Izzat al-Douri?

I wrote a poem about him a while ago. http://freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1032206/posts?page=12#12

Who blew up the Izzat?
What kind of houri could love an al-Douri?
Why did 4000 jihadi not go to work that day?
Why did Saddam stay away?

And it's hard to say
Just how some things never change
And it's hard to find
Any strength to draw the line
I'm just burning doin' the neutron dance

He was later sent to a better hospital where his condition was upgraded to "alive." < / Simpsons >

No idea whether there is any credence to this story whatsoever. Like many here I am extremely dubious too. On the other hand, if an Iraqi newspaper is reporting this and no-one in the media is picking it up think it should be posted on free republic for us to chew over.

Well, a few things jump out. First of all, there are what, hundreds of papers in Iraq? Most of them seem to be sensational conspiracy rags with less truth than the Weekly World News or a Michael Moore movie. This paper, however, seems rather simple and non-sensational; just the facts, maam. Secondly, the paper is not reporting this nuke story to be true or that the Iraqi government is saying it's true, but that "sources in the Interior ministry...refused to comment on news reports..." On the other hand, if it were just a wild, unfounded rumor one would think they would say there is no truth to the rumor...
