Kerry Flip-Flops, Dumps Berger

My, that was fast. Sandy Berger's fellow Clintonistas and Kerryites today kept insisting there was no reason to dump him from John Kerry's presidential campaign. Yet this afternoon that's exactly what happened.

Berger, as is usual in such cases, claimed he was withdrawing voluntarily. But it was clear he was getting the boot when Kerry's handlers started emphasizing that Berger was an "informal," unpaid adviser.

"Mr. Berger does not want any issue surrounding the 9/11 commission to be used for partisan purposes. With that in mind he has decided to step aside as an informal adviser to the Kerry campaign until this matter is resolved," said his attorney Lanny Breuer.

Kerry issued a statement that contained some identical wording. "Sandy Berger is my friend, and he has tirelessly served this nation with honor and distinction. I respect his decision to step aside as an adviser to the campaign until this matter is resolved objectively and fairly."

So does that mean Berger will back after "this matter is resolved"? Don't count on it. What you can count on: Berger's dream of being director of CIA under Kerry is not only dead, it's decomposing.

Hmm, think the equally disgraced New York Times will have room tomorrow to report Berger's ouster? After all, it boasts of offering "All the News That's Fit to Print" ... unless there's news that would embarrass some Democrat.

Throwing the sand ballast out of a plummiting hot air ballon does not always prevent it from continuing its downhill slide.

Bush is up by two in Rasmussen polling, up by four in Iowa Electronic Markets.

In another article on Drudge's website, Bill Clinton says he's known about the probe for "months" and wonders who leaked the news. "The timing is very interesting," he says, since the Democrat National Convention is just days away now.

In my opinion, "U-50Hillary" is responsible for this torpedo sent amidships into the Kerry campaign.

Good one.

Only a true discombobulated poser like John F'n "flip-flop fop" Kerry would toss a pancake with his hand in his pocket.

Nope. They're more worried about defending Linda Ronstadt's stunt at the Aladdin in Vegas.

Golly. I wonder if Hillary sent her fish swimming before Kerry ran up the white flag?

The New York Times printed their Sandy Berger excuses story on the front page (leftmost column, above-the-fold).

When Clinton says he knew, he didn't.
When Clinton says he didn't know, he did.

The man is a serial compulsive liar, a serial sexual harrasser and credibly accused rapist.

As well as being a disbarred, disgrace of an attorney.

Nah, he didn't know squat, and he admires the timing because its a potential political bombshell, political idiot savant that he is. Especially if there exists videotape of Bergers burgling the secret documents as suggested in Debka Files.

Rush has been right. Sit back, relax and watch them make fools of themselves. Oh, this is so much fun.

They just don't know how to handle being out of power.

re: NY Times prints Berger excuses story...

What that excuses story has for a base premise is that Berger is a bumbling, stumbling, trying to do go incompetent, according to Clinton.

Of course the base premise of the excuses is a lie because no one bumbles, stumbles and fumbles secret purloined documents into pants, socks and briefcase. It is deliberate theft, plain and simple. I do agree with the incompetent part, based upon eight solid years of letting Osama bin Laden's gang beat up on America with no effective response. Never forget, the first bombing on the world trade towers occured when the incomptent one and his hand picked bunch of knaves and court jesters were asleep at the national security switch.

Thank God for a A Team we have now!

Go Bush, Kill Osama!

Was Berger set up by Clinton? Will Berger rat on him? Who's next to go down? How far and how high does this go?

Grab the popcorn!

This IS getting better.

I am amazed that Sandy Burger is involved with this. Gees, he was our National Security Advisor and knows the rules. This is AMAZING.

It almost feels like a set-up, it is so stupid.

Personally, I thought he did a half decent job considering the circumstances. Of course, he was always an A-Hole.

But this is beyone my belief.

How could a graduate from Harvard shelve it all. Gees, didn't he see the cameras on the wall?

Personally, I am mindboggled how such smart people can be so stupid to try and get away with stuff like this.

Clinton and his horde may be well educated, but they are NOT smart!

They call President Bush stupid and dumb and worse;yet, when all is said and done,THERE HAVE BEEN NO SCANDALS WITH PRESIDENT BUSH IN THE WHITE HOUSE!

Sandy purloined those documents(and I just heard that the Clintonistas HATE the word "purloined"! TOUGH.........I use it all the time. LOL)because he thought he could get away with it. This must have been SOP under Clinton. But Clinton is NOT ( THANK GOD ) the president;George Walker Bush is!

The Clinton horde/Dems are a venal bunch, who imagine that laws are NOT something any of them have to ever consider.Well, this is a new day an yes,I do believe that Sandy the BURGLAR is headed to the big house.
