So, Sandy Berger will tke a bullet for Bill & Hillary! The Clintons must have something on him big time, like maybe he gets turned on by licking dogs toenails. This guy knew what he was doing, make no mistake about, just like Martha Stewart knew what she did was a criminal act (Lying to save her butt!) These people believe they are above the law!

I'm in the military and have a TS clearance. When my investigation started for my clearance, I had to sign a non-disclosure agreement, stating the severe penalties for (1) willfully removing classified information from a SCIF (Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility), and (2) disclosing it to other individuals. Obviously, the latter is much more serious and if Berger gave ANY of the information to ANYBODY from the Kerry Camp, he'll do jail time.

The only thing I don't get about this whole thing is that EVERYTHING is also on soft-copy nowadays, so there would be no point to destroy hardcopies. MY theory: inside info. for Kerry operatives. Kerry doesn't need the information himself; he has a clearance and can read the reports in a SCIF (Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility) on Capitol Hill whenever he wants. But of course Kerry would never sneak out docs himself (too risky). So we come to Sandy...

While in the Air Force I was a Top Secret Control Officer and a Crypto Custodian. I was stationed on a SAC base and had SIOP clearance. I've granted security access and know the severity of the penalties when you sign your DD Form 301, (I think that's the form). The cavalier fashion in which the Clinton White House and Officials mishandled classified material is CRIMINAL and must be treated that way.

The FBI files, the leaking of Linda Tripp's personal information, Senator Leahy's announcement to the world after a classifed briefing, "We're tracking Osama's cell phone!", should have and should now accrue jail time!

Berger strikes me as having a bit of the John Dean in him. Unless, of course, clinton knows where berger hid the body -so to speak- and the uncorking of that bottle proves more volatile than the current brew. But, boy oh boy, would I love to see him spill his guts.

Just occurred to me--let's refer to the archives scandal as the "Folies Bergere"!

I'll believe it when I see it. The Clinton slime have walked every single time, without exception. I'm sick of it - and I'm sick of the Republicans who let it happen.

Arrest Berger. I have had enough.

Rack him! The have done the same many times and much worse. They drove Newt and Bob Livingston out.

Put the wood to him. Let Sandy Bergler twist in the wind.

"All felonies in the federal system bring with them the promise of jail time," Comey stressed, adding cryptically, "That's all I can say about that."

I can barely wait until November to cast my vote for George W. Bush. I truly believe he is going to throw this sick p.o.s. Berger in jail.

All three morning shows gave prominent attention to the news that former National Security Advisor Sandy Berger is under investigation for allegedly stealing classified information from the national archives.

Gergen Calls Timing of Berger Story "Suspicious"

David Gergen, a former advisor to both Democratic and Republican presidents, vouched for Berger on NBC's "Today," calling him a "hero" in the war on terror, a man of "utter integrity" and saying it is "suspicious that this would leak" just before the release of the 9/11 Commission's report.

"It's not even clear to (Berger) that this investigation is still under way," Gergen said, "& no charges have been brought against him."

When NBC's Katie Couric followed up and asked Gergen if he was suggesting that this story might be coming out now as a "distraction" to the 9/11 Commission's report, Gergen said, "It has those overtones. Let's let more facts come out."

Gergen said that he doesn't think the Berger story "reflects on Sen. Kerry." He did say, however, that "what would hurt the Kerry campaign would be if Sandy would have to withdraw" from his role as an advisor to the Kerry campaign.

The Berger Story

Pierre Thomas handled Berger duties for ABC's "Good Morning America"; Pete Willliams handled Berger duties for NBC's "Today Show"; CBS handled the Berger news as a tell. Bill Plante's piece actually focused on the 9/11 Commission's report in general, not on the Berger news.

I'm sure the Feds would cut the sentence in half if he spilled the beans of who he gave the information to, Kerry! I think Kerry was paying Berger under the table to get the info but I'm sure he never thought Berger would get caught.

Maybe he hasn't offered enough yet. Hey, let's start comparing this to Watergate. Let's start asking all the hard questions. What did Skerry know about this and when did he know it? What were the Dims trying to accomplish with this? And be sure and include the Clinton's when you ask questions because they surely had something to do with this.

As U.S. Attorney for New York's Southern District, Comey oversaw the indictment of Martha Stewart for lying to federal investigators. Stewart was sentenced to five months in jail last week.

Berger's butt cheeks just tightened.

"It is against the law for anyone to intentionally mishandle classified information, either by taking it to give to somebody else, or by mishandling in a way that is outside the regulations of government information," Comey told reporters in Washington.

"We take issues of classified information very, very seriously," he added.

"It's our lifeblood to keep secrets. All felonies in the federal system bring with them the promise of jail time," Comey stressed, adding cryptically, "That's all I can say about that."

Did he give it to Kerry ?
