Kerrygate -- investigate!

I hope the Republicans make a BIG thing of this!

I don't know. Berger says he knew about the investigation since October. Do you really think they would have used information knowing that the Feds knew the info was stolen. Doesn't make sense.

Not that I like the monkey, but I think Kerry's been set up...by the Clintonistas. Heck, he may have been set up by his own VP.

Just because Kerry knew the information does not mean he knew it was classified when someone, probably Berger, gave it to him.

The timing was of the Clintons' choosing. Bill is a master at the dirty side of politics.

Berger stole for Clinton (and himself) not Kerry. The key is that the missing documents pertain to the Millennium bombing attempt. I suspect that those docs detail how the Clinton administration allowed Hamid Aich (Ahmed Ressam's roommate) to escape while the Irish Garda had him in the can. The vanilla version of this story can be found in the "Telegraph.co.uk" archives, Nov. 8, 2001 by Sean O'Neill. After the FBI and RCMP tracked Aich to a safehouse in Dublin they arm-twist the timid Garda into picking up Aich and his four associates, which they did. The Irish Government complained to the U.S. Embassy. This brought in the State Dept. and I suspect the CIA. Anyway, Aich and his friends were on their way within 24 hrs. No request to hold the standard 72 hrs nor any request to extradite. Aich was last known heading for Afghanistan. Oh, the FBI was ordered, in the strongest terms, to leave Ireland..

Kerry, a "sitting" Senator, being fried by his br'er Senators ... they sound pretty hot and I think part of it is because he IS one of their own, (rightly) seen to be betraying their level of privileged access to information, and because if he loses, he goes back into the Senate to do ... what? More harm. Bring more shame on the "august" body. The pubbies know if they let any Senatorial breach of national security be known to slide by, the whole foundation of their part of the government just caved in.

I don't think they're going to like their bro' much any more.

We need a blanket advertising campaign in every battleground state. Which 501C organization (or whatever that number is) can produce an ad which portrays Berger taking documents and a picture of the Kerry campaign while asking ... "What was in those secret classified documents stolen by Kerry advisor Sandy Berger that was worth risking jail. Why would the Democrats (or the Kerry campaign) risk the security of the US just to score points in a political campaign." <<> Vote for President Bush, a President with integrity.
