SEN. SAXBY CHAMBLISS: 'Reportedly these documents are related to homeland security and then suddenly we see the Kerry campaign came forward with what may have been illegal documents. This is sensitive stuff and was a significant breach of security...Kerry knows better than to use these documents,' Chambliss says in a press conference.
SEN. GORDON SMITH: 'There is a curious connection between the removal of these documents and the Kerry press conference on port security..It's disappointing what people might do as they try and take the President down.
I think there must be cameras. The atmosphere is very controlled.
I was only doing research on some unclassified historical information about the search for atomic materials and scientists at the end of WWII.
Berger seems to have been reading classified documents. I think he was supposed to select documents for the 9-11 Commission to have.
Taking the documents isn't an accident, but he may just have wanted to write up his report with access to the documents rather than just notes. The whole proceedure at the archives is very time-consuming. You have to wait a long time to get the file, time is limited, you can't eat or drink anything. If you have tons of work to do this is difficult.
Perhaps a reporter will go to the archives and find out the current proceedures.
The democrat party and its media wing must be utterly destroyed.
Fox News: "Officials with the Bush-Cheney campaign point out that Berger gave a surprise background briefing to reporters on Feb. 27 on behalf of the Kerry campaign, in which he outlined airline security issues apparently drawn from the now-missing classified memos Berger is accused of removing from the National Archives."
Again, here's the link for the SacBee archived speech Kerry gave at UCLA on National Security afer his meeting with Berger.
Geez!
John Kerry's Address to the UCLA International Institute (dated February 27, 2004)
Excerpt:
"We need to provide public health labs with the basic expertise they need but now lack to respond to chemical or biological attack. We need new safeguards for our chemical and nuclear facilities.
And our ports like the Port of Los Angeles need new technology to screen the 95 percent of containers that now enter this country without any inspection at all.
And HUGH.
I was off topic....the search for WMD in IRAQ....
The planets aligned for Hillary in 2000. As unethical & crooked as she was/is it didn't hurt to have a sitting president as husband, either. And remember, Hillary's greatest strength was her playing the long suffering wife role.
Fortunately for us, she will have none of this available to her in 2008, but will still the same ugly, corrupt & weak candidate she was in 2000.
Fox is always on it!
I think they also got the FBI involved, which is when they started getting the surveillance that would help them know where he was stuffing the documents.
Thanks!
Keep spinning RAT. Do you honestly think a former National Security Advisor has to wait like a regular peon such as yourself would have to? He STOLE classified documents and no matter how you spin it he's a thief. Spin, spin, spin.
Hooray! He can swipe the evidence from his campaign site but he can't control the entire Net!
But IF you call yourself a Conservative and aren't a troll, then you need to rethink your political desigination. You've NOT proven to us CONSERVATIVES that you have the stuff.
It took me about 30 second to find THIS (July, 2004)
That whole "led by Samuel R. Berger" comment sure seems rather, uh, involved for an "informal advisor", does it not?
He's a TROLL! Call out the Viking Kitties. This one needs ZOTTING.As a matter of fact,he's begging for it.
"So is Hillary going to step in now to replace Kerry and save the day?"
Was that absolutely necessary? ;)
Your points (in #343) are well-taken. I don't think Kerry will either drop out or be forced out over this unless there's very hard evidence document collusion. Good chance Berger did this for book material.
I,for one, don't believe anything Kerry of his staff claim.
Well, if you can be wrong about me (and you certainly are) then you may be wrong about this. Probably you have never used the archives; I have.
I am going to give the FBI a chance to look at this.
Perhaps you have never had to use the archives for work and don't really understand what a pain it is. Every file takes forever to get. The hours are limited. You have a lot to do. Berger was probably trying to comply with the 9-11 Commission requests. HAve you ever tried to write a report to congress with only notes?
By the way, all that crap about me being a Brownshirt just makes you look like you don't have any familiarity with how the archives work.
