SEN. SAXBY CHAMBLISS: 'Reportedly these documents are related to homeland security and then suddenly we see the Kerry campaign came forward with what may have been illegal documents. This is sensitive stuff and was a significant breach of security...Kerry knows better than to use these documents,' Chambliss says in a press conference.

SEN. GORDON SMITH: 'There is a curious connection between the removal of these documents and the Kerry press conference on port security..It's disappointing what people might do as they try and take the President down.

So John Edwards may be the new nominee? Or are we looking at a convention floor fight between Hillary, Dean and Edwards?

DYNAMITE QUOTE FROM SANDY BERGER BEFORE THE 9-11 COMMISSION, now applicable to his own alleged stunning and shocking transgressions against the Republic down at the National Archives:

"We have an obligation to explore the events that led up to that terrible morning. In order to look forward, we have to look back – to ask tough questions and demand honest answers "

--Sandy Berger

Good grief, I leave the house for a few hours and come back to this...........

Can it get worse?

Frankly, I am afraid, very afraid of what depths of the sewer the dems will plumb.

"Actually, since we are in a state of war, and this involved national security, I would not be opposed to the death penalty for TREASON."

This is why I love free republic...not for the wishy washy, limp wristed girlie men.

It's prison stripes for Berger and Kerry!

We could only hope but - something tells me this whole thing will fade away as the DNC Convention gives all the network newsreaders a tingling in their drawers. The only people who will carry this story beyond the convention will be us and talk radio.

Desperate men do desperate things. Gotta admit, though, that a Prez candidate receiving stolen national security secrets is a bit of a stretch. Still, why underestimate these guys?

in general, I like it.

But I also will say - they had better be right about this, and not stretching the link to Kerry on this.

It was just mentioned in a News Max article:And then there's this tidbit: "Officials with the Bush-Cheney campaign point out that Berger gave a surprise background briefing to reporters on Feb. 27 on behalf of the Kerry campaign, in which he outlined airline security issues apparently drawn from the now-missing classified memos Berger is accused of removing from the National Archives," FNC reported.

So is Hillary going to step in now to replace Kerry and save the day?

If the "Hillary!" conspiracy theorists are right, then might as well force their hand as early as possible, rather than have her step in later in the game (post-GOP convention).

Otherwise, it's probably Edwards, who is a real lightweight and an easy mark for Dubya.

'There is a curious connection between the removal of these documents and the Kerry press conference on port security..."

Hmmmmmmm....this is starting to make sense. Sandy steals the docs; Justice knows all about it but keeps quiet (and keeps tabs on Sandy); Querry makes public utterances that reveal knowledge of the stolen documents; Justice then begins their public investigation of Sandy while all-comers take care of Lurch.

Am I completely off base here?

Off topic here, but JD Hayworth is going to be on Sean Hannity's radio show today. Let's see what he has to say on this topic.

Sounds like Arkancide for both Kerry and Berger.

I smell Hitlery's fingerprints all over this one. She will step forward by acclamation at the convention...just watch.

Why would Republicans want this to come out NOW?

What better time to have the media obsessed with Kerry scandals than during his conventions?

This is all a nefarious plot to sabotage Kerry!!

It is NO COINCIDENCE that this is all coming out RIGHT BEFORE the Convention! Sandy Berger's lawyers are issuing statements, and now the Republicans are piling on ... oblivious to the real reason for this entire exercise!

Clearly, the scandal will unfold in the next several days ... fatally damaging Kerry ... meanwhile, who has been in Europe ... far from the scene of action ... waiting for just the right moment to step in and reveal the real plan ... that's right ... BUBBA!!

The Plan:

Kerry -- DUMPED!!

New Nominee - Hillary!!

/paranoia off.
