Surely Marine One would fit in there also. Maybe, but having the common folk see the Presidential limo drive by on their everyday streets is one of the main points of these trips.
And, BTW, the thing is impervious to RPG attacks.

I can only guess he wanted to stay on schedule. The helicopter probably saved 15 to 30 minutes. He actually started speaking early here at the Iowa stop. No doubt the folks further down the itinerary appreciated that.
