Here are the poll results from the Political Human Sacrifice Phase 1: 1) David Dreier - District 26 - 52.37% 2) Chris Cox - District 48 - 13.35% 3) Mary Bono - District 45 - 10.69% 4) Darrell Issa - District 49 - 6.05% 5) Dana Rohrabacher - District 46 - 4.65% In the next few weeks, we will invite each elected official to prove to us why they should not be “Sacrificed". We will be asking them to do various tasks, with your input as well, to prove that they are protecting California taxpayers from the illegal alien takeover. Keep listening to John and Ken on KFI AM 640 from 3-7p, because the blue-blazered, Washington elite are being exposed on the issue. Who is running against Joe Bacca? Ed Laning! Born June 27, 1957 in San Bernardino, Ca. Grew up in Fontana where I met my wife Cindy. We were married on September 15, 1979 and resided in Fontana until 1986. In 1986 we moved to Hesperia, Ca. while we built our home where we now reside in Oak Hills, Ca. We have raised three sons and now are enjoying a grandson and looking forward to another grandchild in August. In 1988 I founded a commercial construction company, Arrowhead Timber Structures. We supply and install roof structures on commercial buildings. We attend Holy Family Catholic Church in Hesperia, Ca. where I also play the guitar and mandolin with the church choir. I just re-read my hideous grammar in that last post. Sorry about the lack of proofreading, but it sounds like you got the message anyway.
Yikes, hearing Issa's rationale is downright scary. God save California!

For the record, both Issa and Rohrbacher have agreed to come on with John and Ken. Dreir, Cox, and Mary Bono have refused to communicate with John and Ken's producer.
No wonder they're the top three candidates.

Issa says employers really want to employ legal immigrants and that they would prefer a guest worker program instead of illegals. I ain't buying that.
To: DumpsterDiver
John to Issa (paraphrased): "Does the Republican party get too much money from business from the cheap labor provided by illegal aliens to do anything about this?"

Criminy!

I ain't buying that. Dittoes from over here. Issa is boasting how he went to lunch with Asa Hutchinson today and bent his ear. John asked what Asa said and Issa replied, "Not much, but he did a lot of listening."
Oh, PLEASE!

John: "When I read in the newspapers abut Joe Baca's illegal alien sob stories, I don't see ONE WORD from you guys (Republicans) in response. You never go public."
You GO, John.

And now we have something like Issa saying he won't be doing anything "public" (like Baca) 'cause he is already working so hard on this issue.

I didn't hear the interview, but Hewitt thereafter, when I did hear him, was gushing with praise about Drier (the most powerful man representing California in the Congress, the smartest, etc). Hewitt is very partisan. I don't know if it is an act, or a firmly held belief, but his political analysis is often quite silly, and wrong. But I like Hugh nonetheless. It should be interesting. You are close, but "partisan" is generous for Hewitt. "Doormat" is more accurate, perhaps "lap-dog" or "wanna-be" would be better. He was so hateful and angry at ol' McClintock, for him to have Dreier on the show at that time smacks of Damage Control. It's all come together here about who and what Hugh is, and its pretty pathetic.
This border issue is the most pressing concern for SoCal. The fact that rather than pushing for the $5 billion that the State is forced to waste on a Federal problem, the fact that problem is caused the by the Feds (read:Congress) doesn't enforce the border, the fact that Dreier and others won't even introduce legislation to throw us a bone here shows how entirely out of touch and corrupt these Congressmen are, but knowing that, that Hugh Hewitt would actually give aid and comfort to these do-nothings when they got righteously criticized speaks volumns for his character.

Dreir, Cox, and Mary Bono have refused to communicate with John and Ken's producer.I hope they find a way to get these scumbags back and respect us.
I for one and all for losing 3 seats at this point.
To: PeoplesRep_of_LA
John and Ken really need to open up the phone lines and let the callers at Issa. They'll give him plenty to tell Asa about at their next cozy little luncheon.

John: "So in summation, you really expect the people of this state to continue to put up with the $5 billion bill, the congested roads, 50 kids in a classroom, and assimilating all these illegals? You don't think there is going to be some kind of revolt?"
Issa: "You're preaching to the choir...blah, blah, blah. We are in the process of mandating that employers verify Social Security numbers against a database to see if they're legitimate."
John: "And is Dreier on board with that one?"
Issa: "No. Everyone has their own vision on these things." (paraphrased)
John: "Well, there you go."

Dittoes from over here. Issa is boasting how he went to lunch with Asa Hutchinson today and bent his ear. John asked what Asa said and Issa replied, "Not much, but he did a lot of listening."Yeah, he tried that tough-guy nonsense when he was on there before. I'm sure he didn't say much because the whining and begging sounded like Charlie Brown's teachers to Asa.
I loved how he was suddenly a fiscal conservative talking about how we shouldn't get the $5 bil because it would reward having open borders? hello? Who is being punished by the Feds paying? The Feds are the one's responsible for the open border, unless of course Issa is proposing the constitution be amended and the states no longer count on the Federal government for defense. If CA suddenly had a state border patrol I'd take a tax increase.
"If CA gets 5, then Texas will be asking for 10" Well who's fault is that? What a moron.
To: PeoplesRep_of_LA
He was all talk and no action. I'm underwhelmed by that performance.

Dana Rohrabacher is the wrong one to pick on. I say go for Dryer. And where are the Dems? They get a pass even though they are the major cause of the problem.
If John and Ken get one of these or all of these to go along with them, they better fight it out tooth and nail to get them elected.

They briefly touched on the following bill that was passed last year. I wish John and Ken would've asked Issa why Congress made the darn thing voluntary instead of
mandatory.
President Bush Signs Workplace Verification Bill To Prevent Hiring Of Illegal Aliens
S. 1685, the Basic Pilot Extension Act of 2003, was signed by President Bush on December 3, 2003. It will extend for five years the workplace employment eligibility authorization pilot programs created in 1996. It will also expand the pilot programs from the original five states to all 50 states. Thus, all employers in the United States will have the option of participating, although the program would remain voluntary.
To: Sabertooth
The one to go after would be Bonnie Garcia, if J&K wanted a challenge. They would never get her to go along.

So is that the thing Issa claims he's "working on to make it mandatory"?
John and Ken said they're most appalled that Issa said he would not fight for reimbursement of our $5 billion from the federal government because "I don't want to be rewarded for having the most illegal aliens."
How big of him, and how free he is with OUR TAX MONEY. Only a politician could have such a warped perspective on this issue.

So is that the thing Issa claims he's "working on to make it mandatory"?I guess so, but why didn't they make it mandatory to begin with? Also, I've never been able to find out if the program was adequately funded. What a mess.
