Ambassador Joe Wilson, announced as a scheduled guest for the Monday, July 19 installment of the News Hour on PBS by Jim Lehrer on Friday, was a complete no show.
To quote Lehrer from approximately 6:04 into the online version of the Shields and Safire segment from Friday - "we're going to have a segment on that with Wilson and a member of the Senate Intelligence Committee on Monday".
And there was absolutely no mention or explanation of his absence today.
There was a 'which of these things is not like the other' spot on the financial difficulties on Inner City Oakland, California, Schools. There was a re-broadcast of a gay marriage essay from May. But no Joe Wilson. No Senator from the Senate Intelligence Committee.
And no clues from Jim Lehrer.
::Update:: I've sent off an e-mail and web form inquiry to the News Hour staff for comment. I'll post anything I get back.
Must need more time to fabricate a new set of lies now that the old set has unraveled.
He went on CNN with Paula Zahn instead...bigger audience.
Perhaps he is consultation with his lawyers as is Sandy Berger.
Poor Joe must not have liked the questions Jiving Jim was gonna ask him.
Joe supposedly on WABC Bachelor tonite with his sycophant friend John Loftus. After be hammered this weekend from the NYT to W-P to Boston Globe to USAtoday...I wonder if he shows tonite as well.
He must have gone to where Sandy Berger is going :-O
"Oh what a tangeled web we weave, when at first we intend to deceive". I hope Wilson ends up next to Martha. They can sit and tell lies to each other all day, day after day after day after day.
Ping list: do NOT let this get lost!!!!!!
Wonder what Madeleine has stuffed in her fishnets.
LOL .. Do you get the feeling something BIG is going down??
Ha ! Surely Joe has another lie or two left in him.

Is the FBI still searching Berger's house ? hehehee
