.."If we can get the antibiodic out of the animal foods we might also see another break, but I doubt we will see that."..
I don't know about other areas but in N. Central Florida where I live, the Publix stores have started carrying some meat products that are not treated with all those antibiotics and stuff - they have beef, chicken, and pork available. It is, of course, more expensive than the other stuff but my husband and I think it's worth it. It also seems to us that it tastes better.
Thanks for the post. Very scary stuff. My wife is a nurse at a hospital and she tells me that half of her patients these days are on isolation.
Hon, thanks for the ping but I am all busy with terror watch and have to put this on back burner.
Neverdem linked the Googled: "Dr. Jernigan"+community+acquired+MRSA
Now try: MRSA+homosexual+gay+rash+cdc
I forgot to mention that. Those inmates are getting a lot of it that way.
They all use community showers.
I'll have to check with the Publix here in Summerville. Thanks for the heads up on that.
The MRSA in hospital patients is a different strain, and needs intravenous vancomycin, than this community acquired MRSA which can be treated with pills mentioned in comment# 1, once you know what strain you're treating. There are different genes involved in the different strains.
Not the kids living at home. The athletes are typically in contact sports. Military recruits have many minor wounds with broken skin, just like kids playing in a physical way. The inmates have fights and barebacking.
BTTT!
