LOS ANGELES At anti-war rallies, thousands exercise their freedom of association and expression, but, if you're anti-left or pro-Bush, speech is not so free.
"You should be ashamed, you fascist," protestors jeered at demonstrators who opposed their anti-war message.
A handful of young conservatives founded Protest Warrior (search) last year. With an in-your-face style the group tries to provide a balance at demonstrations promoting a liberal, anti-war agenda.
"We were met with some violence," said Kafir Alfia (search) of Protest Warrior. "A lot of yelling and name calling. 'Nazi' and 'fascist' are very popular."
Leftist event organizers have tried to kick Protest Warrior out of their marches, but police refused, saying protestors can't censor what signs show up at their protest...

I wish FNC had shared some of the messages on their signs- they're scathingly funny.
I saw it too.
My favorite nut was the woman screaming "I'm a professor" as if it makes her opinion correct by speaking those magic words.

Your right, of course, but they are noticing- that's important.
Liberals want freedom without consequence. Just like the Dixie Chicks, Whoopsie and other self-appointed 'elite'.
They have the right to say absolutely anything, no matter how outrageous. Everyone else must either agree or remain silent.

Yah, I smiled when I saw her say that. I know SO MANY of these "professors" who are reduced to shrillness when confronted by logic. Really goes to show the rest of America what's wrong with Academia.
Actually the lady who was screaming that she was a professor was speaking in defense of the Protest Warriors' right to express themselves.
I had a great time back in late 2002 and early 2003 protesting the war-protesters(or supporting our troops) at our local university town. A few even tried to come across the street in an attempt to get us to fight with them. We kept our cool but I managed to grab one of their signs from them and run down the street with it and tear it up. I had the smelly's sign in one hand and the U.S. flag in the other. I pissed a hippy off that day. One of the best days of my life.
I don't know about that but my feelings are still the same. I don't care if she is a professor, it still doesnt validate her opinion.

Good job and cheers for the PWs!
I saw the piece on FNC.........and couldn't help but think how I'd be decking these a**holes EVERY time. I could never, ever do what the Protest Warriors do; I don't have the temperment for it. Knocking them unconscious isn't the proper tactic for changing minds, I guess.
Thank God for FOX News. Without FOX, ProtestWarrior would be "blacked out", just like 10,000-strong YEFer counterprotests in the 1960s.
LOL.
YEFer?

I was thinking the same thing when I saw the 40+ minute video in it's entirety. I was raising my voice to them while I was watching it. They make me so mad. I give the people at PW a lot of credit keeping their cool in that type of rabid environment. It just proves whose side is based on fact and rationality as opposed to the paranoid, nasty lefties who thrive on these antiwar events.
YAFer. Sorry.
