The Four Seasons is shaping up as the ultimate power hotel at the July 26-29 Democratic convention in Boston, and word is that some of John Kerry's super-fat cats are furious when they hear there's no room at the inn. "There's always the hotel at a convention the Ritz Carlton may be just as good a hotel, but it's not the hotel," says a veteran Democratic operative.
"People are making frantic phone calls to everyone they know. It's mass psychology. It's a way of establishing the pecking order. One thing everyone knows is that if John Kerry calls and says, 'I want him there,' you'll be there."
The Democratic National Committee refuses to say how many of the Four Seasons' 272 rooms have been reserved for fund-raisers and the hotel is staying discreetly mum, but one insider says it's just 100 or so, making it a top prize for exclusiveness.

"It's become a sort of soap opera in the campaign," says a Democratic fundraiser who traded anonymity for candor. "Boston doesn't have a lot of good hotel rooms and everyone wants them. High-powered people don't want to stay in an ordinary hotel."

The Sheraton is not elitist enough or in the right part of town for the Dims.
I am not familiar with Boston, but my guess is that minorities probably live there. We all know white liberals, as much as they love to tow the line of diversity, fairness, and equality, would prefer to live in their elitist mansions in tony white suburbia where the only minority they know is the help. It's just the regular people who have to integrate.
The Four Seasons luxury hotel chain is a Canadian company.
