Man accused of trying to arrange hit on wife

A Fayette County man allegedly tried to hire his neighbors to kill his estranged wife around Halloween and suggested they rent an ape costume to make it easier, authorities said.
Randolph Murphy, 48, of Dunbar Township, was jailed yesterday on charges he had tried to persuade his neighbors to murder his wife for half of a $100,000 life insurance policy, according to state police in Uniontown.
Murphy and his girlfriend, 31-year-old Michelle Hall, were charged with criminal solicitation to commit homicide and conspiracy to solicit homicide. They were both being held on $500,000 bail.
According to a criminal complaint, Murphy approached his neighbors David and Brenda Soloman in October and tried to recruit the couple to kill his estranged wife before Nov. 1, when he would retire from the Army.
Murphy and Hall also suggested that if David (Soloman) did it around Halloween, (he) could rent an ape suit and kill her at her residence.
Later, Murphy allegedly gave Brenda Soloman a revolver and showed the couple his estranged wifes Connellsville home.
Murphy and Hall were arrested on Wednesday after state police received a tip nine months after they allegedly tried to recruit the Solomans.
Brenda Soloman told state police troopers they acted as if they would kill his wife to prevent Murphy from trying to recruit someone else.
That goofy Bill, at it again.
Why'd it take so long to arrest him?
How LOW do you have to be to try something like that?????
The Hitman was Al Franken?
"I say! You there, in the gorilla suit - stop that! It's silly..."
British comedy has nothing over our reality.
