4. Permit free trade between all nations regardless of Communist affiliation and regardless of whether or not items could be used for war.
No surprise here, I have said for years that Socialism was nothing but another word for Marxism/Communism.
Except that the socialists and communists hate each other.

Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton (news - web sites)(R) was given a speaking slot at this month's Democratic National Convention in Boston, after party leaders initially denied the former first lady a place in the spotlight, officials said on July 15, 2004. Democratic presidential candidate John Kerry (news - web sites)(L), who will be officially named party nominee at the July 26-29 gathering, delivered the speaking invitation personally after phoning Clinton on Thursday, a source familiar with the situation said. Kerry and Clinton are seen at a rally in New York City, July 9. (Jim Young/Reuters)
Communism is one form of Socialism. They have differences and competitive instincts, but these are like family disagreements. They share the same goals, sometimes fight over nuances and power sharing.

In the sense that it is a matter of degree, yes. However, Communism as espoused by Marx had one other ingredient which Socialism lacks -- "dictatorship of the proletariat" through the vehicle of the Party. Most forms of socialism don't have that in any overt form. It might be the end result of socialism in many countries, but the concept of a worldwide monolithic governing party (for the good of the people, of course) seems to be lacking in Socialism.

Huh?

Liberals want to socialize the economy.
Conservatives want to socialize the culture.
The left-right political spectrum hides the fact that both parties embrace creeping authoritarianism, whatever the name.
Third Party freedom fighters
"creeping authoritarianism"
No accident.
They did it this way to get more press and make sure Bush got no press.
It worked.
Another Ashcroftian socon heard from.
Well said....it's just a matter of THESIS-ANTITHESIS-SYNTHESIS....the Hegelian dialectic.
