I'm afraid I've unwittingly denied my son so he could "look like Dad."
And, I don't care what anybody says about baby's not feeling it, that's got to hurt.
I'm with you Tonto.
A heck, don't beat yourself up Tonto.... if guys got any more pleasure from that thing, they'd never get a dang thing done. :~D
"And, I don't care what anybody says about baby's not feeling it, that's got to hurt."
I watched my first sons circumcision, it was horrible, brutal, my son screamed in agony. My second son is intact and I'm a strong anti circumcision advocate. None of my three grandsons are circumcised.
As a woman whose experience is, um, largely confined to those who have had the surgery, seeing one who hasn't is something of a startle. Even if we're warned first.
Actually, babies really don't feel it. First of all, the nerves connecting the brain to the skin and organs haven't fully developed at birth -- so there is less pain anyway then there would be for an adult. Secondly, they use a local anesthetic to dull whatever pain remains. I've been to many religious circumcisions. The baby doesn't even cry about half the time.
Funny, several men I know who had circumcisions later in life have told me its far far far better since circumcision.
Exodus 1:7 And the children of Israel were fruitful, and increased abundantly, and multiplied, and waxed exceeding mighty; and the land was filled with them.
