As you know all too well, nearly all liberals are totally blind to *looking at things for themselves* - follow slavishly whatever the rallying cries of their leaders happen to be - swallow their principles with gusto - and stringently echo the vilification of their opponents.
Most of my husband's family (from Ohio) now live in Florida (my original home), and we have no desire to be anywhere near them, or attend another family reunion.
At the last one in 1997, they at the restaurant smugly flung loudly direct and very nasty barbs at us and another brother and his wife who also are conservative, patriotic Americans.
'The Group' professes to be staunch Catholics, and we asked if they believed abortion and 'philandering' were right - it did not daunt them one bit, coming back by deliberately raving about JFK and how wonderful he was, and Bill Clinton!!

Since we were having the reunion because of the first death among the eight siblings, we did not respond as we might otherwise.
They are far beyond changing of their absolutely rigid beliefs, and employ Open Attacks with mad zeal.

(On the other hand, my sister and I happily have several wildly colored "voting socks" for every Election, and pull "R" with absolute delight -- ever notice that most Republicans are 'happy' folks, and dems are usually scowling and bitter?? ..:))
