July 15, 2004 -- Presidential daughter Jenna Bush has agreed to take a job as a teaching assistant at the Harlem Day Charter school, sources said yesterday. "I'm going to teach fourth grade," Jenna told students at an Alabama elementary school, which she visited with First Lady Laura Bush.

So Chelsea takes a cushy $120k McKinsey job (which she never would have gotten without her family connections), and Jenna takes a low-paying T.A. job at a Harlem Elementary school.
Kerry is worth $1 billion. Bush is worth $26 million.

Perhaps the Daily News will finally stop referring to Jenna as "party girl Jenna" now. God forbid they ever refer to Chelsea Clinton as such, since we have all seen the photos of her falling down drunk all over London with her shaggy boyfriend.

I imagine that the quality of teacher is better in a charter school. I'll bet it's not run like a tyrannical fiefdom as many NYC public schools usually are with teachers struggling under NEA oppression.

It's mainly the UFT in Manhattan,but yes,charter schools DO get the better teachers and aids.
