He could also make you feel extremely uncomfortable

Not nearly as uncomfortable as you're going to feel on November 2nd, Mr. Jane Pauley.

Gee, I often turn to hackneyed, forgotten cartoonists for in-depth political analysis. I thought that Trudeau was gumming his food by now.

I didn't know Trudeau was a homo. Does Jane Pauly know? Yet?

Trudeau was very lucky. His grandfather was a very big TB specialist at a time when there was no cure for TB. He made millions - and his grandson had many opportunities. The fact that he ended up as a cartoonist and others ended up as President of the United States must get him very upset.

... He was extremely skilled at controlling people and outcomes in that way. Little bits of perfectly placed humiliation...

...Bush has created more harm to this country’s standing and security than any president in history,” Trudeau said. “What a shame the world has to suffer the consequences of Dubya not getting enough approval from Dad.”

Um, garry... your slip is showing. Go draw some more pretty pictures, lad. You'll be fine.

You know I never understood why folks found his comic strips funny - it isn't even good political satire. Come to think of it, I have only seen his stuff in university newspapers (hotbeds of infantile liberalism) and liberal rags that no one pays for.

That's nicer than what some people (who know Bush in college) have told me about him.

“Even then he had clearly awesome social skills,” Trudeau said. “He could also make you feel extremely uncomfortable ... He was extremely skilled at controlling people and outcomes in that way. Little bits of perfectly placed humiliation...

Hey, Gary, I've got an idea! You could get back at President Bush for your humiliations by depicting him negatively in your comic strip!

So Bush is "extremely skilled" at controlling people and is very stupid all at the same time. Hmmmm..... which one is it you barefoot, tie-dyed, simplistically idealistic, still rebelling against mommy, leftist twerps?

Yeah, I know he's married to a Jane, but this sort of hostility and animosity can only be the result of someone who was buggered too often in his youth.

Kinda Morford-like.

It should be noted that Garry Trudeau was also a member of the skull and bones society (funny how he and the article left that detail out). He also got to know John Kerry from the skulls.

If anyone actually cares, back in the early 70's, he also carnicured Kerry as self obsessive guy (during Kerry's anti war protest days) who did everything for "chicks". Check out his archives

It should also be noted that George W. Bush did not get along well with other skull and bone members, including Garry Trudeau because he "refused to act his class and rank" i.e. he didn't like snobs and didn't act like one.

A professor he has when he went for his MBA also didn't like the fact that Bush acted more like a normal person instead of a rich elitist.

Hatred born from envy. I'll bet anything that he wishes he could trade his life to be POTUS. Some guys have the skills and intelligence to become great leaders, while others just draw cartoons and make cheap shots.

The funny thing is, that if you were to ask G.W. about Trudeau, he would probably go, "Who?".

Trudeau said he penned his very first cartoon to illustrate an article in the Yale Daily News on Bush and allegations that his fraternity, DKE, had hazed incoming pledges by branding them with an iron.
