I hadn't been able to fall asleep, and then I remembered that I hadn't seen you appear here again after you'd said you were on your way home from work. So, I came back here to make sure you hadn't butted heads with a moose on the way home.
Now I'm FINALLY reading http://defendamerica.mil/articles/jul2004/a071204a.html -- Taking Chance Home.
Then back to bed/to recover. ;)

Lt. Col. Mike Strobl's account of escorting a fallen soldier to his final resting place is touching on so many levels. Because of the support for our military that he encountered. Because of Lt. Col. Mike Strobl's care and respect in how he went about handling his duties. And for so many other reasons, too.
I was also touched by the Lance Corporal's description of his service -- and his injuries:
...He told of how this Lance Corporal had begged and pleaded with the Battalion surgeon to let him stay with his unit. In the end, the doctor said there was just no way-he had suffered a severe and traumatic head wound and would have to be medevaced.
That Lance Corporal set aside concern for himself and his injuries and instead was more concerned about his unit. ... Draw from that what conclusions you will....
May U.S. Marine Corps Pfc. Chance Phelps rest in God's peace.

Here's hoping that we both get enough sleep tonight so that we can finally schedule that tutorial "tomorrow." ;)
(I'll be aiming to write a gazillion words or so tomorrow, too. LOL)

Hi Lisa....it's a good thing you and your daughter did yesterday. It is so important/crucial that our current Commander and Chief be reelected. You'll have to keep us posted on your states' progress toward that end. ((HUGS))

(If I were still here, I'd speculate that the person who originated that thread has evidently zoned out through countless "register for selective service" public service announcements. ... Like rather than reading the Pueblo Catalog, she's probably waiting for the movie.) ;)
