The great Red Sox fan John Kerry magically created a player named Manny Ortiz by apparently morphing Manny Ramirez and David Ortiz.

That was my first thought after reading this, too. What is it with those "baseball fans" from the Massachusetts Senate delegation?
Kerry wanted this guy for his fantasy baseball team, and who can blame him? Manny Ortiz has some incredible numbers . . . a .323 average, 103 runs scored, 213 hits, 61 doubles, 49 home runs, and 155 runs batted in.
At the All-Star break, mind you.
You have me for a loss. Although I was a great fan in my youth, I hardly pay attention.
LOL, no offense. I was referring to what Ted Kennedy called Mark McGwire and Sammy Sosa. Those Massachusetts Democrats senators call themselves baseball fans and can't get the names right.
