O.K. FREEPERS, Here's the list of the six (6)GOP Senators who voted with the Dim-o-rats AGAINST the Family Marriage Act today:
Campbell (CO), Chafee (RI), Collins (ME), McCain (AZ), Snowe (ME), and one that was somewhat of a shocker for me, Sununu (NH).
all new england.
Fox has a "log" cabin republican. (insert bevis/buthead snicker)
who is BSing this will hurt bush. Homosexuals do not vote for republicans.
Campbell is on his last term (out in Nov.) so he has converted back to his Democratic roots, its no wonder he voted as he did.
I wish Bob Smith was still in the Senate.
McCain is a secular thinker...he doesn't think in terms of Biblical morality. I imagine all of them figured they may pick up a few homo votes by going with the majority.
Too much SF in that handle.
The homosexual republican is trying to portray this as a divided party.
Divided as if a Dreadnaught compared to a one man inflatable rowboat.
or
98% vs 2%.
Hardly divided. This is a UNIFYING ISSUE and the "D"'s and their homosexual pets know it.
Chafee is still a Republican? I honestly didn't know that...
Byrd voted for it - Go figure.
Looks "too busy" again.
CNN is playing mc cain over and over.
McCain is COLLOSALLY IGNORANT! He has zero knowledge of law, and zero knowledge of the constitution.
Changing the Constitution to discriminate? So you favor all forms of marriages including polygamy? And why discriminate against single people. Marriage even by an expanded definition discriminates in that certain people are included in benefits that others are excluded from. That's the point. The state has an interest in seeing mothers and fathers stay together. There is no such interest in other sexual relationships.
Well, he is a RINO, anyway. Nobody up here in R.I. will challenge him in a primary. Afraid of the name recognition factor, I guess.
Man there are so many things I could make fun of you for posting this liberal nonsense and saying "us boys from the south" with the handle "SF".
I mean, this reminds me of Al Sadr quoting Ted Kennedy after he talked about new managerment.
Here you are quoting Ted Kennedy, "changing the US Constitution to discriminate" can't you liberals get a better person to get your talking points from? At least Carville is sober.
He's the ultimate RINO.
This vote was planned and carried out by the Bush administration. Just like all the "votes" after the 1994 election in the House and Senate. They were always just one or two votes shy. Because they didn't want any reforms, or this amendment, to pass anyway.
