French parade watchers mistakenly surrender to GW Bush when he gives them the "thumbs up" sign.

What kind of Bastille Day celebrations were there during the Nazi Occupation, circa 1941-44?

According to Babelfish, the poster caption is "The World According To Bush", a film that appears to be a less rabid, French version of F911.

The poster is for a movie. The title translates to "The World According To Bush".

That does not appear to be his own coat. I assume it is another leftist trashy crockumentary; more "The World Of Bush According To Red Socialists".

A poster for the movie 'The world according to Bush' hangs behind two French soldiers waiting for the start of the Bastille Day military parade, in Paris Wednesday, July 14, 2004. British troops were taking part in the parade to celebrate the centenary of the Entente Cordiale, the historic pact that ended centuries of French-British warring and hostility. "British troops were taking part in the parade to celebrate the centenary of the Entente Cordiale, the historic pact that ended centuries of French-British warring and hostility."

I don't think the Entente is too Cordiale nowadays.

The inclusion of the poster is a slam at the President ("ironic" juxtaposition).

Here's an article on the film:

Frenchman takes own stab at Bush (The World According To Bush)

Seeing the troops behind the President makes me wonder if that image was from the President's visit to Iraq at Thanksgiving.

John Kerry still has not indicated when he plans to visit Iraq. Certainly would help his understanding of the situation what with the omitted "good news" items from the lamestream media.
