My wife is having surgery tomorrow to reconstruct her right thumb joint. She will be in a cast for about seven weeks. She is also scheduled to start a new job Monday, 7-26. Stress levels are elevated. Any help greatly appreciated.

Prayers added. I recently had surgery on my left thumb and right ring finger, but it was only to cure trigger finger.
Your wife's sounds more complex, but I know the nuisance hand trouble can be. Please wish her well and trust that prayers are being said for a successful procedure and quick recovery.
