You know, I believe Dick Cheney was also the first in his family to go to college. If I remember correctly, his father was a railroad cook.

I am also the first in my family to go to college. I am the first to own a home. And I, too, believe that every American should have that opportunity. Difference is, I believe that they already do. It's done with hard work and perseverance- not government assistance or handouts.

John Edwards is out of touch with the average American, and has been since he put himself on that elitist pedestal.

Maybe his father did that work
early on(I don't know), but he
worked in the AG Dept when Ike
was President. The Gov't sent
him from Nebraska to Wyoming;
that's why he & Lynn met, his
first school day there. They
were both 13 yrs old.
