Its interesting the difference in undecided between the Prez and Senate race polls, 6% less for the Prez, is split evenly between Bush and Kerry. If the rest of the undecided does the same thing then DeMint should win.
That's still a single-didget margin. While it's not within the margin of error, it's still a competitive race. But it's good news nonetheless that DeMint has pulled ahead.
Another home state of 'Breck Girl' Edwards (born in S.C. - won that primary) that's not being swayed sufficiently to reward the Straight(?) Flush ticket with a serious bump in the polls.

The poll is a bit depressing considering Bush won SC by 57% to 41% in 2000.
Ahhh - great news!
geez..guy..can't you be happy about anything?
I know. But SC is a bedrock conservative state and Bush is polling barely above 50%. He should be around 60%.
It's a Dem poll....and it's early...and a litle native son Edwards bounce..
Excellent tag line!
Thank you.. I lifted it from an article posted somewhere here last month.. I've temporarily retired my "original" effort:
"Ann Coulter needs to have children ASAP to propogate her gene pool. Any volunteers?"
I sure hope der Fritz keeps on writing those opinion pieces in the Charleston paper. After reading his thoughts I bet his wife is supporting stem cell research too.
It's the 11% undecided that has me worried...
I'm very suspicious about this poll. It doesn't pass the smell test. I don't know much about the SurveyUSA polls but yesterday's Florida poll and today's SC poll seem to be out-of-line with the other polls.
This poll sounds like it's definitely under-sampling Reps. How could President Bush possibly be only 7 points ahead in SC?? That means DeMint could be ahead by even more!!
