An Iraqi insurgents group executed one of the Bulgarian hostages four days after the 24-hour deadline elapsed last Friday.
According to Al-Jazeera reports, the insurgents killed Georgi Lazov. The militants threaten to also execute the other Bulgarian Ivaylo Kepov within 24 hours unless all female prisoners are released in Iraq.
A video footage aired by Arabic Al-Jazeera channel at 11 p.m. on Tuesday showed three men dressed in black with their faces covered with masks. In front of them a man looking like Lazov was kneeling with a scarf hiding his face. The hostage wore the same bright orange garment that other hostages used to wear when they were slain.
The news for the kidnapping of the two Bulgarians - Ivaylo Kepov from the town of Boboshevo and Georgi Lazov from the town of Blagoevgrad - last Friday. The two Bulgarians were reportedly held captives near the northern town of Mosul. They were working for a haulier company with headquarters in Blagoevrgad, Western Bulgaria.
The militants said they would kill the Bulgarians unless the US military did not release all Iraqi detainees within 24 hours considered from July 15. The deadline given by the insurgents expired at 11 p.m. Bulgarian time last Friday.

I think tarator added them to highlight the subtle bias in the paper's headline: to "kill" is within the realm of justifiable homocide; to "murder" is an unjustifiable offense.
Maybe it's like Barbara Boxer calling the 3-11 attacks in Madrid a "rail accident?"

Notice how the liberal media is now refusing to report that this hostage was beheaded?
I wish we could change the words "kill" and "execute" to "murder." It would be more accurate.

I've been thinking the exact same thing. I'm not a terribly brave person, but if these sickos dress me in an orange jumpsuit, I'm fighting back with everything I have. So they shoot me or stab me to death. I'm dying either way and I'd rather not die by having my head sawed off while kneeling on the floor for their snuff video.
