Ron Reagan, Jr. vs. William F. Buckley -- Wayward Son Gets Public Flogging

Within a day of Pres. Reagan's death, I saw an interview of Ron the Twerp on MSNBC or CNN filmed before his passing.
The Twerp talked about how his Dad didn't like to push his views down other people's throats -- not even his kid's.
Twerp said that one Sunday morning when he was 12, his Dad came up to his room to tell him it was time for church not knowing his son had decided to become an atheist.
When Reagan saw his son still in his teeshirt and jeans he asked him why he wasn't dressed for church. The Twerp told him he wasn't going to church any more because he didn't believe in God.
Reagan let him stay home. A mistake IMHO.
12 year olds have a difficult time determining what sox to wear let alone if God exists.
Maybe if Reagan would have insisted he attend church a little longer, the Twerp would have turned out differently.

After this election is over....and President Bush wins....Ron will disappear; no longer needed by the leftist commies.

I found a funny tidbit in regard to Nancy...her and Ronald Reagan were married on March 4th, 1952....Patti was born October 17th, 1952. OPPPS!!!

Nancy Reagan said in her autobiography that she was pregnant when they married. But they did get married, even if Patti was a real pain as an eternal adolescent, similiar in that way to Ron, Jr.

Too bad DNA tests weren't available when these brats were born. But then again, Reagan was too nice a guy to ask for one.

I agree that as long as a minor is under your roof, the minor must follow the rules. Jr. should have been made to attend church. That said, God will allow Jr. to make all the mistakes he chooses until judgment day. Hopefully, before that day arrives, for Jr.'s sake, he will pull his head out of his arse. :-]

Exactly. Were it not for his last name, he couldn't get a phone call returned much less an invitation to anything. I contend there was a horrible mix up in the maternity ward and the Reagans took home the wrong baby.

Unfortunately Patti is a ditto of her Dad. She is built just like him, and looks just like him. Patti is the daughter of Ronald Reagan. Your ranting will not change that. But both of Nancy & Ronald Reagan's kids are a pathetic mess. There maybe hope for Patti, but Ron will go down in history as a disgrace to his Dad.

On the other hand, Maureen and Michael Reagan are the apple of their Dad's eye. Both not being raised by Nancy, Thank The Lord for that.
