Father, we once again bring before You President Bush, thanking You that he names the name of Christ, and has asked You to be his Lord and Savior. We ask that You lead his every step, and guide his path every day, so that he honors You with his life. We ask that he might seek to have the mind of Christ as he serves this nation, and You. We ask that You might block out the voices that would lead him in the wrong way, and would keep him from pride and conceit. Keep him dependent on You for everything in his life, dear Lord, in his work, in his marriage, in his friendships and his family. We ask that You protect him as he does much traveling over the coming months and keep him safe in the hollow of Your Almighty hand.
We ask that You be with, guide and protect Laura as well, dear Lord. We thank You for her life, and for the radiance and serenity that reveal a devotion to You. We ask that You might surround them both, and Barbara and Jenna as well, with a hedge of protection, and that they might be blessed with wisdom, joy and peace that come only from You.
We pray, dear Father, for the election coming in November. We confess that we become discouraged by the lies that are being told by the left. We confess that we do not always take our frustration to You in prayer. We ask, Lord, that You might be at work in the American people; that You might embolden those who are hesitant to speak to let friends and family know the truth. We pray that You would give discernment to the American people that they might be able to understand where the truth lies.
Father, we bring before You our brave and strong military as they serve this country abroad, and protect our freedom, and even our very lives. Comfort them as they deal with separation from families. Put a shield around their bodies and spirits, so that they might return whole after their deployments are over. We pray especially tonight as well for those who are recovering from wounds, that You might place Your healing hand on them. And Lord, for the families of those who have fallen, we ask that a special peace be given to them. Help them to feel Your presence, and to know that their loved one has died in a just and noble cause.
And finally, dear Father, we pray for this nation. We have not fulfilled our vows to the Lord. We have strayed far from the principles on which this nation was founded, and for that, we ask forgiveness. Father we ask for a cleansing to come over this land, that there might be a return to personal responsibility, and even shame for what we have done wrong. We pray that the blight of abortion might be removed from America. Lord, we beg Your forgiveness for any complacency that Your children have had as millions of innocent babies have been slaughtered for convenience. Speak to and through Your people in America, and help us to rise up with voices of righteousness to stand firm for those things that are pleasing to You. We lift up our praise, our prayers and our petitions to You, dear Lord, in the name of Jesus, who sacrificed His life, and shed His blood for the remission of our sin, Amen!
Please join us in prayer tonight for our President, our troops, and our nation!

Please help our President to stand firm on his support of a constitutional amendment to preserve the traditional definition of marriage. Father, awaken our senators who are hiding in the darkness of political correctness as they debate this issue. Help us as Christians in this nation to stand up and defend that which You have ordained as good and right. In the Name of Jesus Who died for us all. Amen.
Please be with our President, George W. Bush, as he tries to protect , defend and lead this country. Thank you for the great Strength he has show in our time of need, we pray that you will give him all that he needs in the coming months ahead to protect our country and lead a successful campaign for reelection. We are Blessed lord, thank you.

Joining all of you in continuing to pray for our President, his family, and his administration; our military and their families; and for our nation.
On behalf of those of us silent prayer participants who rarely offer a prayer on this forum, I would like to say that we need this site; and we need you guys who offer such powerful prayers. Keep going. We are praying with you. I access this prayer forum daily but am usually too reticent to offer a prayer. But my heart is deeply burdened daily by the desperate needs of our president and our nation. Thank you for such wonderful prayers the rest of us can say amen to before the face of the Lord God. When my soul is downcast I come to this site and am encouraged again to trust God by faith.
