Hi Truthy,
Thanks for the Dose - Love the pictures of Barney, what a little cutie.
A better picture?
I'm not sure I know what you mean.
I think that angle is fantastic.
The focus may be a little soft but if you can find a sharper one, go for it. Check Yahoo, Reuters, AP and whitehouse.gov. I checked them all - and that is the closest pose with the eagle framing the President's head.
C-SPAN 1
12:01 EDT
News Conference
Federal Marriage Amendment
Alliance for Marriage
Bill Frist , R-TN
^^^^
If anyone is watching TV at midnight, or 9pm on west coast, and wants to feel uplifted, this news conference consisted of short speeches by a dozen or more various church and civil rights leaders who have formed a coalition to support the Federal Marriage Amendment.
I heard these speakers on the radio this afternoon, and when they played it on C-SPAN at 8pm, I watched it just to see the enthusiasm of these community and religious leaders. Senators Frist and Brownback also spoke. However it looked like it was ignored (boycotted) by MSM reporters. Empty seats!
PS:
President Bush's fabulous speech at Oakridge is NOT being broadcast by C-SPAN!!!
From your lips to our Lord's ears, Mike!
THANK YOU so much for posting pictures of GW with the celebrity ball players.
Our damn San Diego Commie-Union would never show them.
Have been spending eight out of fourteen days with my dad....He's getting stronger, but his house needs lots of work before he moves back home.....So I go up, clean, watch the CUbbies with him....run errand for him....clean some more....Take him to his Dr appointments...... Talk politics with him........COme home exhausted to my dirty house, with a yard that needs to be baled.....The garden can wait till next year.....Had shingles the last time I was home so couldn't work outside....It'll get done eventually or it won't.....But spending time with him is priceless....He's back to work three afternoons a week...Not bad at 84.....
Thanks for the dose!
I'd prefer an extra word in there:
"Bush wins in landslide" :)
Most of them are at Whitehouse.gov! Take a look for yourself, if you'd like.
What I can't figure out is why these Tee Ball games aren't more publicized. When the President started them two years ago, we could find lots of pictures of them, including the antics of the mascots, which are usually hysterical.
However, this year, we see about 4 pictures and that's it. I can't figure it out.
I think they are so much fun and so uplifting!
I'm off to grab a snack. I gulped my dinner and I don't remember what I ate, and my tummy doesn't seem to either.
Be back in a few.
Truthy
LOL.......I picked up my George and Laura issue of LHJ today at Wally World. I found it somehow gratifying that more of the Bush's covers seem to have sold than the Heinz-Kerry's.
Dad says it'll be a land\slide too....Just hope you are both correct.
Perhaps you've forgotten something. I'm ALWAYS right! :)
The GWB "remarks" event in the U.P. of Michigan tomorrow has had to be upscaled to a fullblown rally as the first 5000 tickets sold out in 2 hours time on Friday & at least 6000 more have been handed out around the peninsula since then. We'll have a 100 mile drive in the morning to get to Marquette. Perhaps Fox will show a bit of it - he's slated to speak around 1:45.
Looks like our W is going to be flying in just between thunderstorms that end at 11 AM & may start up again at 2 PM, some of them possibly severe. God will be watching out for him though, I know. This will help him win Michigan, I'm sure of it!
Sorta like a kid in a candy shop in this one!
Thanks Truth for all the GREAT pics tonight!
And Mike..........you're right. Landslide. I FEEL it!
