Ron Reagan says Kerry's first act would be EO to reverse Bush stem cell policy
Hardball | July 12, 2004

Posted on 07/12/2004 4:10:27 PM PDT by Howlin

He just announced this on Hardball; he said that Kerry told him this personally on the phone while they were discussing Reagan's appearance at the Democratic Convention that his first act in office if he's elected will be to sign an executive order to reverse Bush's stem cell policy.

No, Kerry's first act would be to protest the war and throw some medals away.

Doesn't this put the lie to Kerry's latest statement on abortion? If he writes an EO forcing stem cell research on aborted babies, isn't he forcing his religious opinion on others?

He is only a couple of months younger than I am, but he seems very un-adult to me. He still desperately wants to be one of the "cool" kids.

All of the advancements have been made in adult stem cells.

Precisely. I read an article just last week (probably here on FR) about how fat cells (and there are plenty of those in our country) had been made to act as stem cells in regenerating bone. The potential of stem cell research is exciting and awesome, but this pathetic pitch by *Ron* Reagan is nothing more than part of the pro-abort agenda.

BTW, I wonder if Michael Reagan will come out swinging on any of these statements Ron is making.

I just wonder how Ron and Patti ended up so liberal, with a dad like the Gipper. Mike is conservative, as was Maureen (God rest her soul). Perhaps Nancy had liberal genes and Jane Wyman didn't??? Of course Mike was adopted so there goes that theory.

" F'n certainly hangs with a manly crowd."

You noticed that,too.
Gee, Liberace Kerry doesn't have time to get multiple national security briefings, but,he can spend time watching Whoopie Goldberg use a wine bottle as a sexual tool
and chit chat with Ron Reagan,
who is apparently now a physician, bioethicist, scientific researcher, expert in genetics , author of scientifc papers and theologian.
And all this time, I thought he was just a washed up ballet dancer.
I wonder if they were both wearing matching pink tutus.

I would say first of all, if John F. Kerry did tell Ron Reagan Jr that his first EO as president would involve embryonic stem cell research, it would be just one more proof (as if we needed another proof) that John F. Kerry doesn't care about the unborn.

However, more importantly, why should Ron Reagan Jr. take the word of such a flip-flopper as John F. Kerry? If he really believes that, he is dumber than a ton of bricks.

his first act in office if he's elected ...

What about the War On Terror? I would think that would be my first priority.

Orin Hatch coming up. To present our side?

He said that Kerry told him this personally on the phone

I'm sure Kerry told him lots of things. Just because he opens his mouth doesn't make what comes out the truth.

Ron is being used, even though I am sure he doesn't care much about truth anyway. The Democrats are doing another Wellstone, this time using the son of the President they despise.

John Kerry is on the verge of having a Howard Dean moment. What we need is more and more people in the press to interview this idiot, he has been getting away with contradicting his own policies and words for so long now, that the line between fact, fiction and reality is severely blurred

He really enjoyed all of the limelight of last month, despite the circumstances. He doesn't want it to end and the Kerry campaign is milking it for all it's worth, which isn't much.

Yeah, at least the rabid pro-aborts don't believe they're actually destroying human life. What kind of monster does that make Kerry?

Mathews brought up an interesting point. Sen. Kerry has recently said that life begins at conception. So if you do research on embryos, aren't you experimenting on a human being?
