FROM THE CELEB ATHEIST LIST

Ron Reagan Jr., Talk Host ent Internet Movie Database

Ron had a short lived talk show a few years ago. On one show, he interviewed Charles Manson at Manson's current cell of residence. Manson began "preaching" his "message". During it, he turned to Reagan and asked, "Do you believe in god?" "No, I do not," Ron responded.

We don't see a world or it's occupants brought to life by haphazzard accidents of nature. We see things that were designed by an intellegent force.

So you're saying that Kerry/Edwards and the Clintons were designed by an intelligent force?! I'll stick with the Big Bang Theory.

Perhaps you should reevaluate the difference between KNOWLEDGE and WISDOM.

As far as dictionary goes, "idiot" is the opposite of "intelligent," which these people are. As far as Wisdom goes, the Dalai Lama is one of the wisest people on the planet, but he doesn't talk with your god. Michael Moore is a practicing Catholic, likely talking to his god all the time, but that didn't make him very wise.

To which GOD, out of the thousands worshipped throughout human history, do you refer and why should I believe your claim of GOD over the thousands of other varying claims made throughout human history?

If the Republican party must become the identical twin of the Democrat's party to survive, then flushing ourselves down the crapper, would at least reduce the evil by half. Start flushing!

Stephen Hawking. Stupid people?

The last quote I saw from Hawking sure sounded like it came from a stupid person. He said that the human race must seriously consider some sort of program to alter our DNA, or else androids would eventually take over the world.

That's the kind of schtuff you might believe if you don't believe in a benevolent Creator.

what does being an atheist have to do with anything

Are you even trying to pretend to discuss something here, or are you just spouting off random non-sequiturs?

atheist homosexual republican support group have a meeting every week. sure its one guy named bill from Washington but he has a "feeling" alot more people are going to show at the next meeting.

P.S its kind of strange that their are not more gay and or atheist republicans. their is nothing really stopping them from being republican. I suppose they might not like the republican party's pro religious stances on some issues but thats not every republican.

I suppose atheism and homosexuality must be a mental disorder, how else can you explain why they vote liberal all the time.

Randians are, of course, an exception

Huh? Could you provide some more detail regarding this "gamble" and explain how atheists are the only ones taking it?

I'm an atheist, and I'm no liberal.

I know quite a few homosexuals who are far from 'liberal' on most issues (including abortion). They're just put off by the Republican party's incredibly anti-gay stance.

Apart from Christ we are all idiots and lacking understanding. Some atheists will not even genuinely look into Christianity because of their arrogance, pride and bias. Actually some of them have no need for an external God because they already have one - themselves.

BTW Hawking isn't exactly an atheist since he uses the term "mind of God" near the end of his book, A Brief History of Time. When asked about it, Hawking simply said "I do not believe in a personal God."

Einstein wasn't exactly an atheist although he wasn't exactly a Christian either. "My comprehension of God comes from the deeply felt conviction of a superior intelligence that reveals itself in the knowable world. In common terms, one can describe it as 'pantheistic' (Spinoza)."

This issue is deeply complex and "atheists" with varying disbeliefs about organized religions are generally kind of lumped together as a group. Some just don't accept the traditional religions. Others not even accept the concept of a God. In the end, these distinctions make little difference.

At some point FR has to decide whether it's a board for conservatives or a board for Fundigelicals. It seems to be becoming the latter.

You're new, but after you've been here a while you'll realize that there is a large group of us here who are opposed to the excesses of the Christian Right.

What you cited in my last post wasn't a quote. But if you want details on what Stephen Hawking said about the necessity of humans to alter our DNA to prevent robot takeover, here you go. Knock yourself out.
