I'm beginning to think he was. I don't think she actually hired someone, I think I heard that she asked for help from a friend who was a private investigator.

Byrd is actually a Fresno homicide detective, and was also a client of Amber's in the therapeutic massage business.

We have been told repeatedly that this therapeutic massage which she was trained to do was NOT a front for prostitution, but was a legitimate job.

Who has "repeatedly" told "us" this? The only place I have ever heard this is from women posting on Free Republic. If there's an official source for this, I have not seen or heard it but would appreciate being told where it can be verified officially.
