Sorry, but this news disgusts me. I wish Nancy would counter her turn coat offspring by giving a supportive video speech for the Bush administration and the war on terror. With one of the most important elections of our history weighing in the balance, there's no doubt that her husband would approve.
Why don't we just refer to him as Ron 'Davis' from here on out.

What is the matter with Ron? He's a liberal. Most of these people, if they're active in politics, have no concern whatever about their parents' feelings about it. So why should a dead old man's memory matter to him?
This is no surprise at all. It won't affect the election -- if we counter it quickly with an explanation of Ron's complete alienation from his father's views. The people who have a right to use Ronald Reagan are not liberal members of his family, but his supporters who understand and support his point of view.

For Reagan's sake, I will not treat his son as I would another individual that behaved in this manner.
I will say this will not have the desired effect the Democrats believe it will. Ron Reagan is not beloved by this country. His name alone does not make him an heir to the Reagan legacy.
Nancy has neither the character nor the intellect to support her party in this year of crisis. She doesn't want a Texas cowboy horning in on her husband's reputation in any way. While she won't support Kerry, don't expect her to lift a finger for W. She has screwed Republicans before, and cannot be expected to help them this time. Don't attack Nancy, just dismiss her as a tired old woman who has nothing to do with the Reagan legacy (beyond keeping his name out there in lights -- the softer the better).

I'm not sure that requesting Michael to step into another family feud would be the right response to counter his brother.
He is Ronald Prescott Reagan - not the same as his father. He is no junior - literally, or figuratively.
