BUSH/CHENEY: 'We call on Kerry to release the video of this event' Fri Jul 09 2004 10:37:52 ET
WASHINGTON, DC -- Bush-Cheney '04 Campaign Manager Ken Mehlman issued the following statement on John Kerry's fundraiser last night.
"We have seen John Kerry take two positions on the most important issues facing our country. Now we see him take two sets of positions on his own values.
"If John Kerry is going to praise last night's star-studded hate fest, and characterize it as the 'heart and soul' of America, he should share these values with voters everywhere.
"We call on Kerry to release the video of this event so that all Americans can see what John Kerry has called America's 'heart and soul.'"
END
Can Kerry actually play the guitar? If so, I'd like to hear what he does.
"I have a ticket to his concert next week in Omaha. What should I do with it, Freepers? Looking for some good suggestions..."
Since you have already paid for the ticket, I would suggest you go and enjoy the show. He might be a complete air-head but Fogerty makes some good music.
I'm a big CCR/Fogerty fan but I've come to the conclusion that there is something seriously wrong with this guy. The bitterness that he clings to about the CCR breakup and the Fantasy Records lawsuits is frightening. He might have been screwed over big time but John Fogerty needs to get over it. For God's sake, it's been 30 years.
Which just shows what a perfect match-made-in-hell the hairsquad is - Kerry has the ability to live in parallel universes, and Edwards has the ability to channel unborn children (and then vote to kill them). Super. No wonder they are slobbering all over each other.
Agreed! I would just have a terrible time voting for someone who looks like Lurch!
"Let America be America again"
Seems that the era Kerry is longing to see America re-live again, is the 60's-early 70's freelovin', country-bashin', hippie-huggin', drugsmokin', "make love, not war" one. Yippee.
Agree with you on the 'celeb' thing. Hard to watch them; and given their 'everywhere presence'; can be hard to ignore them too.
These people decry a 'violated environment' - 'not one tree; not one driop of oil'; 'save the earth' et al. . .yet, feel no compunction whatsoever, to constrain themselves when it comes to sharing the vile by-products of their idiology.
Rather, they take a peculiar and perverse pleasure in polluting and poisoning our body politic and, as well, our American cultural landscape.
It is too much to expect that these 'caring Liberals' should themselves realize their own stench; suffer their own pollution that any normal person with at least two of their five senses in tact, must suffer?
Worse, and unforgiveable, is the fact, that these 'values-challenged' celebs, spew their toxins; their gutter humor; upon our Commander-in-Chief' - and that they do this in time of war; only compounds their sin of ignorance.
We should not forget; and we should not forgive these self-indulgent individuals; nor those that encourage them.
The damage of an 'oil spill' pales by comparison. . .
oops. . .I>driop</I> of oil is to say. . .'drop of oil'
I really hadn't followed this story until now. My guess is that C-SPAN would play it but I'm sure they would have to get permission also.
Still four months to go. This campaign is going to get real interesting. Maybe someone will be challanged to a duel.
Of course they wont.
Let me guess, a bunch of ignorant, uneducated, wealthy, celebrity types bashing bush?
And people say you're dumber than a post! Don't you believe them, you're (IMHO) every bit the intellectual equal of any post I've ever seen, and smarter than at least 40% of them. :-)
Waving a bottle of wine, she fired off a stream of vulgar sexual wordplays on Bush's name in a riff about female genitalia, and boasted that she'd refused to let Team Kerry clear her material.
"I Xeroxed my behind and I folded it up in an envelope and I sent it back with a big kiss mark on because we're Democrats
Oh really classy whoopie.
Destroy's Hollywood's credibility
Oh they lost that a loooong time ago
AMEN! AMEN! AMEN!
Since it's so 'right' so 'middle America'
PUBLISH IT, TURKEYS!
Those lyrics are bad enough to get Little Tommy Daschle deeply saddened. Again.
We couldn't put an uglier face on Dem values if we tried. Let the American people hear the vulgarity that comes out of Whoopi's mouth and decide if they share such "American Values".
What are the Dems afraid of?
Who is this young lady I keep seeing on the PLEASE DONATE THREADS?????
