NEW YORK - In a bizarre twist of campaign history, John Kerry made the claim on Larry King Live that he had been "too busy" to stay up to date on National Security Briefings that had been offered him by the Bush Administration.
The stunning admission came last night on CNN.
KING: News of the day, Tom Ridge warned today about al Qaeda plans of a large-scale attack on the United States...What's your reaction?
KERRY: Well, I haven't been briefed yet, Larry. They have offered to brief me. I just haven't had time.
It should be pointed out that immediately following the interview with Larry King, Kerry headed straight to an evening concert fund raiser...

I wonder if the people of Taxechucetts feel like they are being well represented in the Senate?
America, do you remember? DON'T DO IT AGAIN!
Why is it not good?
besides this lil snipet from CNN... I don't see this getting any legs with the mainstream media...
Well, I have two senators who actually show up and vote, and I'm not well represented in the Senate...
Heck, I wish my Senators WOULDN'T show up ;0)
It's not like he was on vacation or out of the country...
:0)
Well they could not use the footage w/o consent; but surely they can use his picture and his words; that was for public consumption.

All we need is one campaign commercial.... I'm Geroge W. Bush and I approved this messge.
John Q. Public doesn't read newspapers. What matters is what hits talk radio, music stations, and most importantly, the late night TV shows.
Well done!
That picture does wonders to help boost his peacenik image.
I got, got, got, got no time
I got, got, got, got no time
I got, got, got, got no time
National security???? Isn't that the responsibility of the UN???
Pray that he NEVER becomes the Commander in Chief!
Well, perhaps the president of Suriname would be OK.
You Said: Hell, he misses 83% of his votes in the Senate too."
Would you happen to have more info on that, I sure would appreciate it.
typical liberal elitist reaction....attack the conservatives while Kerry and Company look down their noses at the working public.
Our Intelligence (CIA) may not be the greatest but his is totally absent! WTG JFnK!
Maybe Bush can't use the direct quote, but I can sure repeat it when I write a Letter to the Editor. I hope everyone else does too.
When did stem cell research become illegal??? That's another one of the left's great lies. Bush didn't fail to authorize stem cell research. He simply isn't allowing federal funding for it. Even that's not the whole truth, actually. He IS allowing federal funding for research on already exisiting lines of stem cells, just no funding for research on new lines.
