After being inundated with calls from L.A. listeners, Asa Hutchinson has agreed to go on the show. He's on right now, so be there or be square. Will try to type the good stuff while I listen.
Read his posts. He appears to be nipping a the sauce. And I don't mean barbecue sauce. But he says he doesn't drink. Which is scarier.
I'm making a case against illegal immigration.
That's what this thread is about.
Why are you here?
LOL!
I'm here to get George W. Bush elected, which the owner of this web site has stated is our goal.
If you're actively working against Bush, maybe you should find somewhere else to post, eh?
And have them do what? Look big and scary? That is not what the military is designed to do and I would not put our well-trained fighting men and women at the border to play at patrolling.
if California goes the rest will follow
Well, then, we should do like California and elect ultra-liberal Senators who won't address the problem.
For the TSA that would mean only 2,000 screeners per shift covering 430 airports.
You're wrong.
Give us a real-life example using a real federal agency.
Your hypothetical numbers are baloney.
ala Daschle, pimping for the unions in his position as Senate Majority leader, at the time when this bill went through(late 2001, early 2002)
Exactly.
No, I've never called them. I just don't like the way they interrupt and step on people. Same reason I stopped watching O'Reilly. :-)
Because of the need for 24/7 manning, and the need for overhead.
For the TSA that would mean only 2,000 screeners per shift covering 430 airports.
Airports aren't open for operations 24/7. (People living around them like to be able to sleep.) Many of those 430 airports are only open for flight ops for one shift.
Also note that some critical TSA functions (such as equipment maintenance) are completely outsourced to various corporations, many of which are owned by foreign nationals. Perhaps you think this is a good thing. I don't.
Try using the military personnel of the US Army, Marine Corps, Navy, or Air Force.
Make whatever conclusions you wish from the facts I presented, you're entitled to your tastes.
You're saying that only FReepers that agree with the president on illegal immigration can post to it?
Who did you wake up thinking you were today?
LOL!
And refuse to even mention the ultra-liberal Senators real life existance on FR.
I'm telling you what Jim Robinson said; we're not actively working to defeat George Bush, which you are doing.
That's why your numbers are phoney and over-inflated hogwash.
We're talking about securring the borders of our own country with guards and walls against civilian invaders.
We're not talking about stopping an armed military force equipped with front-line battle tanks.
Who are you trying to fool, here?
95% of the USPS shuts down at 5PM and doesn't work weekends. Are you assuming that the illegal aliens will simply take evenings and weekends off?
No problem. And perhaps unlike the persons with whom you may have an ongoing argument from other threads, I am committed to voting for Bush and I do understand that his administration is the one I'd prefer in charge.
However, I can't give this administration a pass on their lapses in interior enforcement of immigration laws. This area of enforcement seems like it has been neglected since the Reagan Administration.
It's been years since I posted about Boxer on FR -- the last time was probably after her embarassing floor debate with Rick Santorum on abortion. Boxer is an embarassment, but the liberal electorate here along with the very favorable view of encumbents here (unless they have a huge screw-up) means she's surely sticking around DC for another 6 years.
The reason why I care about what Asa had to say was that there's HOPE for him and this administration to understand our state's problems with immigration enforcement. There's no hope for Boxer to understand, she's an unashamed extreme lefty on so many issues, that she wears our disdain as a badge of courage for her supporters.
FWIW, the John & Ken Show has recently (and very strongly) criticised Joe Baca, the congressman from the Ontario area for his interference on the matter.
Lois Capps gets much less attention as she's rarely engaged in anything. She ran for her seat after her husband-politician died I believe. That seat used to be held by a Republican, but a slight gerrymandering change and the further leftward decline in the Santa Barbara electorate messed up that district. What a shame.
Actually, since the Johnson Administration.
You missed your calling.
The White House should have had you call John and Ken instead of Trey.
You would have scared and intimidated them twice as much as he did.
LOL!
