"Free Republic" Free Fantasy Football at Yahoo!

The only restriction is that I'd like the team names to be a place name (real or fictional) and a noun. Also, I can switch to live draft if there is an interest. BUT, if you still want to participate and can't make a live draft, the live draft for you would be done via autopick (with your pre-draft list or Yahoo!'s)-- which is the default anyway. If you need help in how to sign up for this, just let me know. And, it's free to play.

Would you mind if I moved you to another conference (Conference 3) so we can get to 10 there?

The Waxahachie War Pigs are ready to play!

...or will be after we draft, anyway. When are we drafting?

and I didn't see if the draft was live or not. I would vote for live draft.

Are you still doing 4 conferences? I just signed up and got into FR II. There are 14 teams in this league. If I need to move (TARAWA JARHEADS) just let me know.

Room for any more teams?

Now that we have our conferences set up with all our teams, we'll see what kind of interest there is on a conference-by-conference basis. Even if we have a live draft and no one participates, it defaults to auto-pick, so no big deal.

Nevermind. We had two new people just sign up to boost Conference 2 back to 14 and to fill up Conference 3.

I think a live draft is a no brainer. If teams want to do it automatically, they still can with live draft. This would allow each team to do what they want for the draft.

Sorry, man. You can try this.

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-chat/1170622/posts

The only way I can create a 5th conference is if we can get at least 8 (or more) other people to agree to join. If there is an interest in having all the teams under one League via a merger of sorts (our four conference league and YoungKentuckyConservative's League of Infidels), that's fine with me. That way, we have one Free Republic Super Bowl Champion at the end (based on who is the strongest Conference Champion statistically).

I just need to know if we have enough FReepers interested. Those I've pinged (or anyone else) just need to reply to this saying they are. I'd also want to get YoungKentuckyConservative's' okay on this. I don't want to step on his toes over this.

No, we can add another conference if there's interest. I'll ping you once we get to enough teams for me to create one (a total of 10, but I'm one of the 10 even though I'm ineligible for bragging rights in any new conference).

If you still need teams, count me in. Just let me know when the draft is, and what I have to do to sign up for the right league. Thanks....Go Gordon

No, it's okay. I had to pull teeth to get Conference 2 down to 13 teams from 16, so they apparently could give a damn about having 14 teams.

If the two of you are live drafting in the same conference (so, at the same time) and from the same computer, you'll want to follow these instructions.
In order for multiple managers to draft at the same time, the first user would log in, open the Java Draft applet, and then log out of Yahoo while keeping the draft window running. The second user (and any subsequent users) would then have to log in and launch another draft client.

ChuckK said he wouldn't mind merging. Other than that, the responses are on this thread and at first glance, they don't get us to 10, yet. There's plenty of time. I'm waiting to hear back from all the people I pinged to that post I made on the subject. All people need to do is reply to this thread expressing interest. I'll check back on it in a few days to see if we're at 10, yet.
