The only restriction is that I'd like the team names to be a place name (real or fictional) and a noun. Also, I can switch to live draft if there is an interest. BUT, if you still want to participate and can't make a live draft, the live draft for you would be done via autopick (with your pre-draft list or Yahoo!'s)-- which is the default anyway. All you do is draft players, then drop them if they suck and replace them with ones that don't suck. You can also try to put players in if they are facing a favorable matchup or bench them if they don't-- but that's a lot of effort and isn't required. Mostly, you'll end up doing well if the players you draft do well. It's that simple.

Before preseason games begin seems to be the consensus. Probably the weekend of the 7th. We might do it a bit earlier for one or more of the conferences. It depends on the interest.

I am the Boone St. Chronics, in homage to my old Statis Pro Football team in the mid 1980s.
If you are unfamiliar with Statis Pro Football, it is simply the finest football board game of all time. It was at least as enjoyable (and as infuriating) as Madden 2004.
But did it have Tecmo Bo? He could run for 99 on every play, man.

What do you mean? Is anyone missing? I only added teams by moving people from another conference. We still need two more on Conference III.
