My Dad needs your prayers - and a card, if you could.
After successfully battling colon cancer 4 1/2 years ago - and 3 follow up surgeries to correct problems with his colostomy - he was recently diagnosed with terminal cancer, with tumors on his spine and lung.
He started radiation treatments on one tumor but became too weak to get out of the house. We will be bringing in hospice care in a few days.
Your prayers for comfort are appreciated.
Why a card? My Dad is a collector of things. My local FReeper friends that have seen his house can attest to that. Pictures and cards are very meaningful to him. Computers and the Internet are not his cup glass of iced tea. If I printed this thread and presented it to him it wouldn't mean nearly as much as a card.
My Dad (Wilburn) is 80 years old and a widower. He served in the Pacific in WWII in the Navy Signal Corps.
Freepmail me for his address if you can send a card. I will reply as soon as I can.

I will be praying.
You have freepmail.
Sorry to hear the news. Prayers on the way for your dad and family. Hang in there.
God bless your wonderful father...prayers sent your way. He reminds me of my husband's father, another WW II hero. Sending love to your family.
Of course. Prayer sent. If you'll FM the address I'll send a card.

Will do. Sorry to hear about your Dad, Flyer.
Thank you all. I had to go do some comfort care for Dad so I am getting behind on my replies, but I am reading every one and they are all deeply appreciated.
I should be here Saturday, thanks. I think you have my cell number, but if not. . .

He still has a lot to be thankful for and I pray for his comfort and peace in this time of pain and sorrow.
Thank you.
I hope to meet you at the range one of these days, one of these days. . .
