I think the secret to the special brew is out

Chefs who make low-carb foodstuffs usually end up adding a bunch of meat to an existing item and removing carb-heavy elements... but I didn't know that's also how they make low-carb beer.

Has there ever been a REAL "found a mouse in my beer" story?

"some tequilla have a big hairy caterpiller in the bottle"

I have a plastic worm that I put in my tequila to encourage guest to choose the cheap vodka. Real tequila is very expensive this year. Jose is no longer my friend.

A sure giveaway ~ a dead mouse would, of course, give that stuff a flavor of some kind.

I've recently gotten into the low-carb stuff. Actually, I have to avoid carbs and exercise a lot to maintain normal blood sugar levels, so my interest in low-carb stuff isn't just to lose weight.

I noticed that once you get down to 2.4 carbs per serving container they no longer label the stuff "beer". In fact, they usually call it "lager", and some of them refer to it as "bottles"!

Now, what would a dead mouse impart to "bottles"? At least it wouldn't change the carb count. And if the mouse floated, it'd kind of drift to the top and keep the bubbles from boiling off so fast.

Sure something to think about.

Is this the judge that used the penis-pump in court while exposing his Johnson to the court stenographer?

It's not tequila that had the worm, it's Mezcal. ( I used to date an owner of a Tequila distillery, he was very touchy about that)

It is said the worm gives strength to anyone brave enough to eat it. At least it's what makes mezcal unique. The worms lives in the agave plant and are hand-harvested during the rainy summer season. They are stored in mezcal, drained and sorted, and placed in bottles near the end of the process.

Hollister, Missouri
New York Slimes
July 8, 2004

..."Mr John Edwards, who suddenly disappeared from campaign appearances with Presidential candidate John F'n Kerry, delighted local residents by arriving in his private jet at Old Al's Aeroport Sip and Dine, and excitedly made his way through the crowds asking for a map and telephone book, and asking "who here knows this Judge"?

He appeared taken aback when 92 of the crowd of 101 persons attending the impromptu meet and greet all declared "they was first cuzzins", and a fistfight immediately ensued as to whom would have the honor of providing "this fancy girly man" to Cuzzin's house "up on Hog's Holler".

"Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeek! A mouse!"

What a girly man. Then again, that was obvious when it said he drinks "lite beer".

Remember the days of Schlitz?

It's still made (and even served at some bars) even if your days of drinking it are long passed for other brands.

This can of Schlitz has a picture of the brewery on it:
