THE SECRETARY GENERAL OF THE IRAQI MINISTRY OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS SAID HIS COUNTRY WILL SOON RELEASE TO THE IRAQI PRESS DOCUMENTS REVEALING THE NAMES OF COUNTRIES AND INDIVIDUALS WHO WERE INVOLVED IN THE 'OIL FOR FOOD' SCANDAL. (AL-SABAH AL-JADID, IRAQ, 7/6/04)

I think the American left needs proof of who our enemies are. The French are consistently coming up as NOT our friends and a good indictment under the Food for Oil program would do nicely. It's not about gotcha- its about finding out who our real friends and enemies are.



Exactly right! We already KNOW France is NOT our friend, but "would do nicely"? THINK. "Finding out" will include more than France and Germany. That those countries want to see us harmed is no surprise to anyone.....well except some on the leftist fringe.

The only news I watch is Fox. Even they handle the oil-for-food UN scandal with kid gloves.

Our gubmint won't walk away unschathed from it either - most of the money came from you and me - American taxpayers. Somebody had to know where that money was (not) going to.
