Some lawyers are wonderful people who do wonderful things. Juries punish wrongdoing in many cases. Some people like the idea that "the business is always right." Some people who claim conservative credentials are in fact and in truth greedy and selfish and would like a return of feudalism if they weren't the serfs. Being wronged by a business, then having the business take a "So, what are you going to do about it?" attitude will do wonders for attitudes about trial lawyers. BTW I'm glad McD is no longer selling 180 degree coffee that will cause third degree burns and the need for skin grafts. That didn't just happen - they got a minor whipping in a trial.
