(CNSNews.com) - It's official, the Republican National Committee said on Wednesday. The Kerry-Edwards ticket has made history, because it is more liberal than the 1984 Mondale-Ferraro team, based on ratings from the liberal Americans for Democratic Action.
The ADA gave Democrat Walter Mondale a lifetime rating of 90 percent, the RNC noted, while John Kerry's lifetime ADA rating is 92 percent.
Mondale's running mate Geraldine Ferraro received a 79 percent lifetime ADA rating, while John Edwards' lifetime ADA rating is 81 percent.
Americans for Democratic Action says it judges politicians' liberal tendencies, based on 20 key votes on a wide range of social and economic issues, both domestic and international.
"Since ADA's founding in 1947, the Annual Voting Records have served as the standard measure of political liberalism," the group's website says.
Americans for Democratic Action has "enthusiastically" endorsed John F. Kerry for president, noting that Kerry will raise the federal minimum wage; reverse "tax cuts for the wealthy"; "return U.S. foreign policy to its historical roots in human rights and multilateralism"; bar privatization of Social Security; and "respect the constitutional separation of church and state."
"The presidential election of 2004 presents the most significant choice American voters will make in their lifetime," the group says on its website. "ADA pledges to work actively and vigorously to ensure John F. Kerry's election."
The fact that the media keeps calling Edwards a moderate or even conservative tells me that democrats are afraid of this far left liberal ticket.
Never, never call a Rat a liberal or socialist. Truth hurts them.
In their minds it's all a vast right-wing conservative plot to make them look bad.
Oh this is going to be a great election season. I just knew that the libs had to run to the left. That move will be their undoing!
But I am suprised that queen Hitlery did not get in the mix. I will not count her out until Nov!
How in the world are they going to get back to the middle for the independents ?
"But I am suprised that queen Hitlery did not get in the mix. I will not count her out until Nov! "
I am not going to count Hitlery out until all the liberal lawsuits from the election are settled.
Something keeps eating at me in that Hitlery went too quietly. Sort of like the hyenas waiting to pounce once the kill by the lion is made.
Real Deal all right. Empty suit and Lawsuit. Vacuum and dirt bag.
