JOHN Kerry's choice of John Edwards as his vice presidential candidate is getting predictable but sincere applause from Democrats, relieved that some charisma will enliven their presidential ticket. But the initial positive reaction may not last long as the Bush campaign zeroes in on Edwards' vulnerability: his presidential campaign contributors. During his run for the top job, John Edwards relied heavily on leading trial lawyers. Twenty-two of his top 25 donors were trial attorneys. And those donations likely cloak a multitude of sins and violations of the campaign-finance laws.

Like the evil litigious fat-cat from a John Grisham book, John Deadwards bilks the system. Maybe GWB can make it come back to bite him in his pampered rear end.

The only conclusion one can draw about Kerry's choice of Edwards is that Democrats are not serious about the war on terror.
The choice is now clear.

Not to worry, no one in the big media will ask the tough questions or demand answers from either Kerry or Edwards. Cheney was badgered about Haliburton and his campaign contributions. Don't expect the same treatment of Edwards.

Apparently evil is in the eye of the beholder. Kim Jong Il is probably an OK guy since he came out for Kerry.
I assume someone at the RNC is busy calculating how many jobs Edwards' junk lawsuits cost in the hospitals, HMO's and insurance companies that he sued. Not to mention the increase in insurance costs. If it can be quantified, it SHOULD be and publicized.

Can Edwards with no experience defend this country from terrorism? No. Why would the public elect him as vice president to a guy that had major cancer surgery barely one year ago? Why is the media not questioning kerry's health and demanding proof that he is fit for the job?

$1 million of Edwards' funds came from trial lawyers' wives identified merely as "homemakers" in the campaign-finance filings. If the money came from their husbands, there could be a violation of law.Interesting.

A local orthopedic surgeon has to pay upwards of $20,000 per MONTH in malpractice insurance premiums because of greedy lawyers like Edwards. Guess where that money comes from??? P.S. The surgeon has NOT ever been sued for malpractice. If he does get sued the premiums will go UP considerably.

This might mean something if Dick Morris was ever right about anything lately.

Well, he also got most of his money suing obstetricians over cerebral palsy, and this at a time when it was known that only a very, very small percentage of cerebral palsy is iatrogenic. Hey, like all the asbestos hucksters, why let science interfere with making a crapload of money from litigation over a (deliberately) misperceived problem.

In the small town in which I live, we have 9 Family Practice Dr.s. I worked for the local clinic for 10 years, in the 1990s, and during that time, 5 out of the nine stopped doing routine OB care (any high risk case was automatically sent out as soon as a problem was identified), because of the malpractice premiums became unbearable.
Like your ortho surgeon, not one of them had been sued prior to that point.
