MSNBC ^ | July 6, 2004 | Me

Posted on 07/06/2004 4:47:15 PM PDT by McGruff

Chrissy Mathews, Andrea Mitchell and Howard Fineman were discussing Kerry picking Edwards when one of them said Kerry wanted Sen. Bob Graham as late as last night but he failed the vetting process.

Another tidbit, Teresa doesn’t care for Edwards because of what went on in the primaries.

He writes everything ( I mean everything) that happens during his day in a journal. He might be a little nuts.

Could be because Graham is brain-dead.

The only memory he has is his collection of notebooks into which he writes every move.

We're talking "brushed my teeth at 7:35 AM"....ad infinitum.

Brit Hume reported that Kerry didn't want Edwards because he felt Edwards was too much of a newcomer and didn't deserve it.

Nobody was Kerry's first, or second, or even third choice.

The choice was made for him by his handlers.

One would think, that the handlers would have been more astute, because what if Kerry actually gets elected? They are going to have to put up with his off-the-wall statements and constant backfills and straddles.

Somehow I think this whole Democrat Presidential candidate process was not well thought out.

John Kerry is a shaky reed to be leaning on. John Edwards makes for even shakier support.

Jimmy Carter is looking better and better all the time. Seldom right, but never in doubt.

Look for Matthews to wet his pants each night over Edwards - July - November.

Then sulk for awhile if Kerry-Edwards loses in November, before switching to full-time shilling for Edwards in '08.

Kerry thinks Edwards hasn't "made his bones!"

So what are we learing here? That Kerry didn't get ANY of his own picks, that his STAFF and the DNC are running him -- he's a puppet!

Where did you see that?

Fox mentioned it this morning. At the end of the rally, they handed out some that weren't two-sided.

"The signs that they had this morning had Kerry-Edwards on one side and Kerry-Graham on the other!!!"

Ah-HAH! This now explains the spinning I heard this morn....now let me see, was this by E.D. on Fox n Friends? I'm not sure, but I remember hearing that Kerry was being SO CAREFUL about leaks getting out, that he actually had signs made up with all the other candidates on them.

He didn't want to "hurt the feelings" of the others on his short list.....dontcha know!

Rush made the same point the other day.

He's a historical footnote waiting to happen—and everyone at the DNC knows it. What a waste of hanging chads . . .

Anyone have that picture of Kerry and Edwards where Edwards has his hand over Kerry's face? I've been looking all over for it?

When do you suppose they'll announce that they've both come out of the closet? And that they've set the wedding date? For that matter, who wears the bridal gown?

After all, can you really see Edwards passing up on his coveted White House?

I guess by the end of the rally they had time to print the correct ones. Oh yeah, these people can run the country . . . Sheesh!

Wow! That is deliciously twisted news! I hope whoever has those signs sells them on eBay; they could make a TON of money!

LOL, the journals strike again.

Poor Bob Graham, just because he's plagued with a major case of OCD, he misses out on being VP candidate (end/sarcasm).
