Is this true? I haven't studied the Koran extensively, but from what I've read, it all comes down to: there is no other God but Allah, and Mohammed is His prophet. I don't know if they are taught to hate infidels, just convert them or give them second-class status.

Then you haven't been reading much....The Koran specifically tells Muslims to slay those who will not convert or pay tribute. Moreover the later surras (which are considered more sacred and replace earlier ones) spend much time talking about the killing of the infidels. Frnakly any religion that tells me that Allah is the only God and is ABOVE all other I cannot abide....but then I am not interested in converting Muslims....I will call them what they are EVIL....bombs away
