Just got some scuttlebutt, top Gephardt aide Joyce Aboussie has been sent a private plane to join Dick Gephardt for....one can only assume the announcement that Dick Gephardt will be the next Vice President Nominee for the Democratic Party.
UPDATE: If Aboussie is being flown out and ordering staff to be ready for a change, it's hard to imagine that it is anything, but gearing up for an announcement that he is the VP nominee. He and Aboussie are incredibly close and she is his right hand. Unless this is a bit of disinformation, this is the real deal.

We Tarheels think that the Geppie would be the better choice for Veep. NC doesn't need to be associated with that empty-suit ambulence-chasing lawyer that pretends to hail from here.
I hope they don't fool everyone and put Lieberman in there. He is the most qualified of all the rats,and has backed the war and the President from the beginning. The rats have announced their platform is pro war,and they have absolutely no credibility in that arena whatsoever. Joey would give them that credibility and he also has previous VP campaign experience. Remember how bad the rats treated him because he backed the war and knew he was going to lose. This got a lot of sympathy from Pubbies. He did a 180 to be on the same page as crazy Algore,he might do a 360 for "The gigolo". I hope to hell this is just paranoia talking.

I can see it now. They add to the existing "The Real Deal" ( title ripped off from Evander Holyfield ) slogan, "Let's Make Deal" for Gephart. For Edwards it would be "What's The Deal?". It's Hillary it would be "Big F'n Deal".

Gep was one of the ones, with Tom Dashhell, who played PR maching for Gore when he tried to steal the election.
I still remember that set up conference call that Dick and Tom took part in where they supposedly got an unexpected call from Gore. So unexpected that they had the media in the room. Gep is a union whore! But then again Edwards is so strung to ambulance chasing shark lawyer groups its pathetic. Neither Gep nor Edwards have any real govt. leading/agenda setting/govt management experience. And neither does Kerry. They are all just Congress dips. Now I know that the Iowa Governor that Kerry looked at seems to not be too well liked in Iowa right now (I spoke with 5 different couples from Iowa this weekend). But he has got to be a better choice than Gep or Edwards. Gep may only guarantee a part of his state. Most feel that Edwards can't even deliver his state. Both have very poor foreign policy experience. Wow!

Gephardt will make things "swing wildly" in Kerry's favor within a month??? Never happen. Not even if the 2nd-choice veep and the frantic can't find a veep presidential candidate both wore milk mustaches.
