"...Kerry broke ground in an interview that ran in the Dubuque, Iowa, daily, the Telegraph Herald. A Catholic who supports abortion rights and has taken heat recently from some in the church hierarchy for his stance, Kerry told the paper: "I oppose abortion, personally. I don't like abortion. I believe life does begin at conception.
"I can't take my Catholic belief, my article of faith, and legislate it on a Protestant or a Jew or an atheist," he continued. "We have separation of church and state in the United States of America."
I don't know if there's any point in commenting on this, since it's evident that Kerry and his supporters are impermeable to logic and to moral persuasion.
But it seems obvious that if you KNOW that abortion kills a living human being, and you KNOW that it's wrong, but you vote for it anyway, then that's much worse than the guy who votes for it because he doesn't know any better.
Deliberate murder has always been regarded as a far worse crime than manslaughter or accidental death.
bttt
I suspect Kerry WOULD impose his 'beliefs' on smokers, though, eh?
BLAH, BLAH, BLAH! We know what you are J Effin K. What a pandering little pansy he is.
Logic is lost on most of Kerry's followers and devotees. No conflict for them. And any discrepancies are quickly explained away, in a circular, nonsensical fashion.
I can hear them whining, 'You just don't get it...'
The question is too complicated for a simplistic solution and by taking into account the proper nuances you will arrive at the conclusion that Kerry's is the appropriate response.
If he was really opposed to abortion but didn't want to impose his views on other people, he would have abstained from voting on the issue, rather than being the poster boy for the pro-abortion vote.
Of course. Kerry's position is akin to saying that he doesn't believe in terrorism, but he won't try to persuade Islamofascists not to go around slaughtering Americans because we do have separation of church and state in this country, and they're only following their religious beliefs.
Liberalism is about feelings, not reasoned thought. That's why its impossible to carry on a conversation with a liberal for a period of time before they become "offended" and break it off and walk out. Conservatives have to watch what they say around the Left and that sort of self-censorship becomes exhausting.
Experience tells us otherwise.

Just another Flip Flop from a flipping-flopping Catholic in Name Only.
Nothing new here folks! LOL!
Kerry says"
"I don't like abortion. I believe life does begin at conception."
Well, it's a scientific fact that everything to form a complete human being is there at conception. Even if you are an atheist, its been scientifically backed. You don't have to have a religious belief to know that abortion is murder. It's just convenient murder.
"I oppose abortion, personally. I don't like abortion. I believe life does begin at conception.
"I can't take my Catholic belief, my article of faith, and legislate it on a Protestant or a Jew or an atheist," he continued. "We have separation of church and state in the United States of America."
............................................................
Alternate: "I oppose slavery, personally. I don't like slavery. I believe life is not the property of another.
"I can't take my Catholic belief, my article of faith, and legislate it on an African Muslim," he continued. "We have separation of church and state in the United States of America."
Will someone please ask him this:
If you can't vote according to your belief system because it would foist your morals/beliefs on someone who doesn't agree with them, how can you vote for anything that doesn't have 100% agreement?
It doesn't matter if the issue is based on religious or secular beliefs.
Kerry is wussing out again, trying to have it both ways.
It doesnt matter if Kerry says his mother had sex with him the Dims will vote for him anyway. Its just that simple , placing ads, telling of his lies all of his stupid statements ,they dont matter the Dims have their minds made up Reps beat them last time we will beat them this time to hell with the consequences.Lets elect the Douchebag
Kerry's Catholic beliefs also tell him that three-year-olds are human beings, but he seems to have no trouble legislating that the killing of three-year-olds is murder. Does Catholic doctrine make any distinction between pre-born children and born children?
That is the most discouraging thing.
Hollering into a vacuum, methinks.
What question is too complicated? Maybe we can do a drill down.
