in fact, I lived on a farm as a young kid. My parents, when we lived in Massachusetts, we lived on a farm Interesting. I didn't know he ever lived on a farm. I wonder if this is a lie too? Depends on one's definition of what the word "farm" means?

I guess he "lived on a farm in the US", while going to a boarding school in Switzerland -- he could be in two places at once.

Hey 5-7 vacation days a year at the farm doesn't qualify as living and working on a farm. Sheesh.

More likely a 1000 acre estate with servants, etc.. Not really your ordinary farm boy. I'd love to find out more about this little "farmboy" dream" and place he lived.
And the name WINTHROP seems to ring a bell.
