It's given me a voice to speak my mind, politically, for the first time in my life (to others besides my family and friends). Although I am not the most educated person, (just a high school graduate), when I post something here, it makes me feel a sense that I may be accomplishing something, in some small way.
It is also a place of refuge, through the good times and bad. When my daddy passed on May 25th, the support here was amazing, and so appreciated.
And when I am feeling low, I can click on a "caption this" thread, and read posts that lighten my day with laughter.
So thanks again Jim, for providing so many of us with a home away from home.
